For:
Dalembert, Landry or J. Thompson (again, you pick)

Pick any combo you like as long as Detroit takes on less contract once all is said and done (or the trade won't work)

NOOOOO! We are sick of you piston fans trying to trade your washed up players with fat contracts for good talent. That is not going to happen. There is a reason why Dumars hasn't found a suitor for them. So, no thanks to any of them.

The thing is they all bring something different to the table. Dalembert is always among the NBA leaders in blocked shots, and he was the NBA shot blocking leader twice. Landry is very efficient scorer, Thompson plays with so much energy hes perfect as the first big man off the bench. So its ok to keep them all for now and see what happens.


Dalembert and Landry are both UFA. so we might trade them at the deadline or resign them or simply let their contracts run out. i guess it depends on how things go. Ether way i dont see the pistons as good trading partner.

I like Ben Gordon on the Kings. I'd trade any of those three guys you mentioned for him honestly.

Dalembert will likely be available near the deadline, but probably not before that

I'm a big B. Gordon fan so I would trade Daly for him because I have a feeling DAly will be gone after this year or by the trade deadline anyways. I would like to keep Mandry around and resign him and no way would I trade Thompson for any of those players. I would like to see another year out of Thompson. I can easily see Thompson as a 16/10 guy who can play pf and center he is young and has a cheap contract so it's a no go for Thompson. But Gordon is the only guy out of all the piston players mention that the Kings should have a mild interest in.

Prince would be the guy IMO and I would be shocked to see Petrie not go after him either at the deadline or as his main target next summer. Exactly the type of player this team needs at SF in both the capacity of experienced veteran as well as simple need.

As for the list of guys you mentioned? Depends on a few different things like how ready Cousins is to contribute and what the frontcourt should look like going forward. Bottom line is that depth is great, but too much is useless and this team has WAAAAY too much in the frontcourt right now. I say let it play out and see what the best combo is. Obviously Cousins will hopefully be, and should be the main consideration with whatever happens there.

The man-love for Prince around here is getting old. The guy is getting to hitting the downside of his career because his game is based around his athleticism/spring and that starts to drop off considerably in the thirties.

On top of that, we have two guys at the position already (Greene/Casspi) who can conceivably develop into a BETTER version of Prince, and a vet (Garcia) who can give you almost as much, but just gives up a little height.

The idea here on Real GM that we somehow need to clog back up our SF spot when we just got rid of Noc to clear space and time for these younger developing players is just flat-out ridiculous. SF is the easiest to fill and fastest to develop position on the floor, and we already have the guys in place to do that. The only kind of trade that I couls see making at that position is to consolidate for a superstar a la Carmelo, and I don't see that happening right now unless we make a HUGE leap in wins right away (which I also do not see happening just yet - team is too young and immature to do all the little things that will make that happen).

Right now we are in the very enviable position of having a plethora of veteran and young talent that is all in the 6'9" to 7' range. Of course all these fans like the Pistons fans would LOVE to dump their crap and garbage contracts to get ahold of one of these guys! We are in the drivers seat and merely have to wait and see if a very spectacular one-sided offer comes to us while we let our young bigs and swings develop!

Wow, couldn't be any more wrong about that, Prince is a skill player if there ever was one. You also underrate his talent level. He would be the quintessential "Doug Christie" type in relation to our situation and potential overall impact. I really like the upside of Casspi and Greene but Prince has the experience and provides intangibles that Casspi and Greene can't provide this early on in their development. Casspi or Greene as our new Hedo off the bench would be a perfect fit for this team as well. This illusion that as soon as a player hits 30 they're done really needs to stop, look at ANY of the true contenders and the similarities in age/experience is rather glaring.

I'm a fan of Gordon's but would much rather have the money to sign pieces next year.

Why would you want any of them? They all suck. The only reason I want Dalembert is because of his contract nothing else. I would much rather keep our players. The only player that I don't want is Hamilton and I'd give him up for a draft pick. Dalembert sucks, Landry is overrated, and I we have too many players in his position for Thompson to come in and play. The only thing I want and would keep from the Kings is either Evans or Cousins or a first pick. Nothing else.
You guys talk like you have a team to not want a "washed up" player, I don't remember you guys making alot of noise with your team. We did better and had half of our players injured.
So NO, you shouldn't want a player that won a championship and actually been in the playoffs more than your whole team combined in the last five years.

Obviously genius basketball commentary right there. Incidentally the Pistons record was 2 wins better than than the Kings despite playing in the eastern conference. Congratulations, you managed to win two more games playing against the Knicks, 76ers, and the Nets three or four times a season.

I truly do hope the Pistons have a great year and I'm sure they will, I mean how can you go wrong with a core of Ben Gordon, T-Mac, and Greg Monroe, I predict championship.

I am actually high on Landry Thompson. Dalembert is pure contract interest. Ben Gordon would be an excellent fit with Reke. I mean think about it, a big PG who can't shoot paired with a small shooting guard who lights it up. They just switch on defense. I don't see Joe trading BG for an MLE type player though.
