You may have just lost your team

I'm not trying to be a troll. As a veteran of Seattle's team departure you need to know that the clock is ticking. If you guys want to save the Kings don't think that there will be any further warnings. Don't think that you can sit back and see what happens. Get active now. The very next step will be an announcement with no warning that the team has sold. There won't be a leadup to it or a chance for any of you to do a damn thing. Be proactive and get busy now.

The teams departure, but most importantly they need to know that the time to help is now. The use of the past tense by Stern is completely telling.

My optimism on there being a new building [in Sacramento] has faded completely," Stern said. "We really tried hard, the Maloofs spent a good deal of money .... And frankly it wasn’t meant to be. I don’t have any more good ideas. Where we flow on that, right now we have a season to worry about."</em>
