Cleveland Cavaliers - Is it too early for a giant Anderson Varejao billboard outside Quicken Loans Arena?

Even with LeBron James gone and their current roster slightly undermanned, the Cleveland Cavaliers still might have a good chance to continue their recent dominance of the Sacramento Kings.Coming off their first defeat in the post-James era, the Cavaliers can get back on track with a ninth consecutive victory over the Kings on Saturday night.

A matchup I want to see is DMC vs Andy Varejao. I want to see if DMC can keep his cool when hes playing a scrappy player like Andy. Hopefully he can keep his composure

Yeah, reports are that Varejao will probably play. That'll be a good challenge for Demarcus. Varejao has a bigger reputation for annoying the crap out of players than anyone currently in the league, so if Demarcus can keep his cool against him, that'll be a very encouraging sign.

Anyway, I sure hope for a win and I think we can get one, but I have my concerns too. Cleveland is still feeding off of their energy from trying to prove everybody wrong so they'll be dangerous on their home court (as Boston could tell us).

But we SHOULD win this.

I dont like to call games "easy" but this certainly should be. Last night their leading scorers were Jamison(14pts) and Parker(10pts) while everyone else were below 10. Who knows though?

I don't think any games are going to easy for the Kings tbh. Don't underestimate the Cavs. They have several solid pieces in their roster i.e. Hickson, Mo, Jamison.

BTW nice to see arod doing a gamethread!

+10000! Been missing the a-rod game threads.

As long as we don't have the same idiot officials as we had last night, I'll be happy. All I really want to see from the team is steady improvement and playing with passion. Winning or losing is less important (although I want a win).

This isn't going to be a easy game to win. Cleveland will play much better at home with their home crowd behind them rather than on the road. That being said, this SHOULD be a win, but with the Kings...nothing is given, as we witnessed yesterday. It's good that there will be no Mo to put up 25+ on us tonight, so we just have to make sure Gibson/Parker don't light it up from behind the arc. There should be nobody we double team in this game what so ever, so I hope I don't see any shooters open or were in for a long night. It's going to be a good challenge to see DC vs Varejao, he will def. frustrate him on the defensive end and we will see how Cousins responds.

a-rod's game threads are back! We can't lose now!

I expect a win. I think it's the next step in our team's development. We have to start beating the teams that are worse than us.

Clevelands jerseys look straight out of college ball, don't get me wrong they are cool and all but when I see them I can't help but think college jerseys and burger king. This is a game I can see us winning. Our free throw shooting is just putried, that has to improve to start winning games. What good does it do to get to the line if we can't make free throws. The only person I have confidence in is DMC, even Beno missed 2 in a row last night, it's gettin ridiculous.

I expect Darnell Jackson to play with even more energy, if that's possible, because he's going up against a team that gave up on him a few seasons ago and he knows they could use him now. DJ is going to be motivated to show Cleveland he can out hustle Varejao and that his front court toughness is worth more then old man Jamison's flip shot. I'd like to see him body JJ Hickson out of the way for every available rebound and loose ball.

Hopefully Cousins and JT can stay out of foul trouble. They're not going against any interior bigs that outsize them tonight. The Kings front line should tower over the Cavs tonight since Cleveland doesn't have a center near Lopez's caliber. The Kings won't have to deal with Harris' speed/quickness getting to the hoop either, hopefully Sac's guards can do a better job keeping Sessions and Williams (coming off groin injury 50/50 whether he plays) in front of them and not forcing Cousins or JT to be a half to a full step late in D rotation causing some of those fouls.

Kings should win this one while dominating inside. If Flippy Jamison, Hickson and the rest of the Cavs front line gets the better of the Kings tonight I'll be surprised

No can do, the global mods get just a little angry when that apparently sacred info gets mentioned.

Cousins needs to let AV shoot that instead of going for a pump fake and getting a foul.
