Per facebook, citing Coach Westphal. Showcasing for a trade? Or because this is best for the team?

I honestly think he's the best PF on the team. I hope we don't trade him.

Whiteside is also going to the Bighorns for a while...better to get to some PT in the D-League than to ride the bench in a suit.
This space needs to be filled with a new sig...but I'm too lazy to make one.

Thompson, should have been the starting pf all along, Landry is best as the sixth man.

Good move by the coach. Hopefully we aren't show casing him because he is the best PF on the team. He is also the best fitting PF on the team. Landry needs to be moved because he literally duplicates Cousins skill set, and Can't play with Cousins or Tyreke without getting in their way.

I actually think they are trying to raise his stock. A trade needs to be done on this team.

They very well might be trying to raise his stock however it may just as easily be LANDRY that gets dealt rather than THOMPSON.
That said it seems as if PW has a hard on for LANDRY (lol ) as he has stated time & time again he like LANDRY on the floor he really likes LANDRY on the floor so THOMPSON could easily be the one thats dealt ! Who knows

Well, if that's the case, I say Paul Westphal should be one dealt. lmao.

JT is the better all around player.. and he has the most potential. I actually like the idea of Landry coming off the bench. I think he plays better that way.

IMO, Thompson is this teams starting power forward now, and in the future. He's is the youngest of the two and should NOT be traded!! :king:

Best news in the last 2 weeks!!

But I hope the Kings are not showcasing JT to boost up his value. That would be awful because in reality, JT is the best PF we have. This forces Landry to a 6th man role: which is the best case for us.

I think starting Thompson could be one of the best things for our team. I think that he will play well with Tyreke in the starting lineup and that maybe we will win a couple games and petrie will realize that Landry just doesn't fit and take the option out of Westphal's hands by trading Landry.

I think he shows glimpses of being the best PF. However, he is so inconsistent and until he plays with consistency from game to game, Carl is better.

Just because JT is starting, doesn't mean that Landry won't get more minutes than him....

Also, remember the beginning of last season, Evans and Thompson had the best chemistry I've seen on this team in YEARS. No lie.

Jason, and how well the coach is able to utilize his talents will determine playing time. That or Westphals usual method of rubbing two sticks together and whatever way the smoke blows will determine his playing time.

And they also played a style in line with the way Westphal wants to play. JT is really good for his system.

AMEN!!!!

When we had that good month last year JT was playing at a near all star level. JT/Reke were playing well together. Why it's taken a calendar year to revisit this is beyond me?

So thats uhm - 5 lineup changes from the begining of the season? Isn't that whats pre-season is for?

Oh wait, we played scrubs @ our pre-season, our true pre-season is the first 10 games of the regular season(if not more) - Good job knowing your players Paul.

"So I know when my name's called and I'm playing somewhat consistent minutes, hopefully I can play consistent for the team." -Jason Thompson

This is a subtle shot at Westphal. The coach has lost this team, I don't think anyone likes him...except maybe Tyreke.

I read the article and I didn't take that away from the quote. I just took it as I'm going to choose to stay positive, and what opportunity I do get I'm going to try to help the Kings win.

If anything I took it as "if I play well I'll have options to play elsewhere if this doesn't work out."
