i havent totally lost faith in him, i still think we can turn this things if the players start doing their part. You cant blame the coach if landry shows up to training camp out of shape and if Reke couldnt develop a jumpers in the off-season. I am questioning the effort the players are putting in to make themselves better.

i get the fact that we dont run plays on offense thats because players are having a hard time executing whatever we have.

I think he's a good coach (you don't get to the finals by accident), but probably not the right coach for this team.

I think I need to be suspended so I can spend time on homework and NOT realgm.

Last year, I thought his rotations were very erratic, and although it confused me and even frustrated me, I gave him a pass. It was his first year with what most people thought was the worst team in the NBA. I didn't really mind losing because of how all the guys seemed to be getting better, Tyreke's ROY campaign, and we fought every game. Obviously mid-season that flame died out, but hey it's a young team, he's still trying to figure his guys out, and we needed a top 5 pick.

This year, any positives from last year are completely gone. I see no positives. The team is in shambles. We have no identity, we have no consistency, we have no nothing.

There's a lot more I'd like to say but I literally just lost interest in this post. In short, yes.

He might be a good coach with more vet players on the team and overall more experience.

But right now, he completly lost this team and the players, nothing can change this situation, maybe can make it a little better, but not good enough for what we look for.

So to your question - yes, absolutly yes.

When coaching an already veteran team PW does pretty well such as when he coached the Suns having BARKLEY , K.J. , MARJLE , HORNACEK , CHAMBERS ETC. though it's pretty hard not to haver a great record with that core .
As a coach on a young team HE SUCKS he does not know how to coach the young guys , he does not have the patience to teach the young guys & he lacks the ability to be vocal in a demanding way he does not have the respect of his team IMO . If your team dioes not respect you & or feel you will take the appropriate action needed to players then as a team you will go nowhere as people wont listen.
The COUSINS incident of kicking him out of practice is not a sign to me of laying down the law really !
Honestly as a coach if what COUSINS did in practice was sooooo bad then their is no way a hard nose coach would have played him the next game he would have sat on the bench & dealt with it no matter how good you are or what potential you have .
What COUSINS did was probally not all that serious & they kicked him out of what was left of practice to allow him to cool off .

PW sucks IMO...

I wasnt reffering to you or anyone when i made the statement just generally saying that so if anyone brought up the COUSINS situation then that part would not be their focal point in an argument in response to mine .
Just trying to point out alot more to my opinion etc.

After the last game? No, not totally. Now the work is in his hands though. Time to build a system that makes the best use of your two star players, bottom line. Do that and the winning will come.

Some of you guys are hilarious. Paul Westphal is a solid coach! I have faith in him. I feel he lost some faith in his players because they are letting him down on alot of things. That is why he has so much roster movements and guys sitting for long on the bench, players getting DNP's etc. He's searching through all 12 of the active guys for a spark or for someone to be consistent. What doesn't help is that the only player who's consistent every night is Darnell Jackson!! To be honest you cant expect to win games or whatever when DJ is the guy producing!

What Paul Westphal needs is a player like Arenas. A guy who can run the team, who can shoot a consistent jumpshot, who's clutch, who's a veteran, who can take alot of the pressure from Tyreke right now. He's that guy who'll generate a double team on the perimeter thus opening things for other players and creating mismatches.

If there is anyway we can find a way to get Arenas and Nene on this squad with Tyreke and Cousins that would be so ideal imo. We'd be something similar to the 04 Pistons i.e no major stars just a good coach and solid chemistry! Assuming Dally Landry Cisco and some other would be the deal.

Cousins/Whiteside
Nene/JT/Jackson
Greene/Casspi
Evans/Beno
Arenas/Head/Pooh

With Arenas and Reke on the same team, you will have the driver and the shooter to dispose of Paul Westphal...

The fact that you even want ARENAS on this team is hilarious yet idiotic honestly !

ARENAS is a crazy nut job & we dont need him on our team . He should not even be in the NBAS he should have been banned & not allowed to ever play in the NBA !

I have some faith. I don't blame him as much as everyone else here does, but I don't think he's blameless in the slightest. Keep him till the end of the year, at least. Rotating door fixes nothing.

You guys are shallow? Why don't you guys make jokes often about Tyreke when someone mentions his name about shootings? I don't see any of you saying that "Tyreke is a crazy nut job we need to trade him" Hilarious again you guys are!

Get off the guy's shaft, he's apologised! Who's crazier than Ron? He was a choir boy to some of you'll because he was a "Kings player". Arenas would be solid here!

/End debate

You are really ignorant anyone who carries a gun has it anywheres near the arena alone should be banned ! Additionally pointing it at a player in front of many teammattes etc. who could get hurt / killed is more so grounds for being banned for life !

Can you honestly tell me the odds of you pointing a real gun at someone & not getting arrested etc. & not have the other party press charges your @ss would be in jail !

You need to grow up if everytime an apology was good enough alot of people would do just as bad stuff or worse & all would be good ! Not how life works pal .

Lastly if you think his apolgy was sincere then you are blind !

I am not sure wich is crazier the NBA allowing ARENAS to play in the NBA ever again or you for the thought of him being a KING & thinking his apology was sincere or even good enough to allow him to be playing in the NBA !

WHAT A JOKE !!!!!!!!!!!!

I've lost a bit of faith in him largely because he seems to not recognize the obvious things about our team. He seems to fall in love with the idea of guys playing a certain way but doesn't really give them plays or the lineups to achieve those goals it's more a philosophy of play style similar to how the Princeton is more an offensive philosophy and less any preplanned play. From what I have seen of our team we simply aren't unselfish enough or disciplined enough to run an offensive philosophy without any set plays. We need those set plays in order to be successful yet Westphal hasn't put them together and instead has relied on our team to manage it's own offense within the concept of his philosophy.

^^I know that that is all a bit circular and that it may be a bit confusing but it seems right to me.

What I have lost my faith in is in Petrie's ability to put together a competitive team and in the Maloofs desire to fund a competitive franchise. The Maloofs need to make it very clear what their directions are...they need to clearly define what they want the TEAM identity to be. They've done a lot of "pimping" of their new stars...but they have not clearly put out there what they want the team to be.

I also don't think Petrie is thinking outside the box enough to get the right personnel on the roster. He's lost his mojo. Whether it's because the league has change around him or the Maloofs won't let him spend money, he just is not doing what is necessary to build a good team. Maybe it's time for a change at the top...and I don't mean the coach.
This space needs to be filled with a new sig...but I'm too lazy to make one.
