Patrick patterson would you ? / LANDRY
If the KINGS are in talks with HOUSTON I thik it's very possible the KINGS would attempt to trade LANDRY for PATTERSON .
This would reunite COUSINS with PATTERSON I realize we have alot of bigs & the trade would basiically be 1 power forward for another however I would really like this deal .
Of course this would open the KINGS more to dealing other bigs for another point guard . I feel that the possible BROOKS deal wont happen mainly because he is not on track health wise to return to play until later than expected & this would likely be to much of a concern for the KINGS
thoughts ?

Nah. I liked Patterson as a prospect, but he hasn't proven anything so far. If we trade Landry, it should be for a perimeter player.

I see your point but I have a gut feeling we are in discussionsd for him I remember a few years back when HOUSTON sent DONTE GREEN down to the D LEAUGE it was shortly after that he was dealt to the KINGS . PATTERSON was just sent down recently & I know we are & have been in serious talks with HOUSTON . Additionaly I am confident the KINGS are motivated to trade LANDRY as we will likely not resign him because to do so we would have to grossly overpay . If Petrie feels their is no point guard he can get via trade that will be a true assett to us for our future I then see him having no problem in doing a trade like this .
Patterson is a great rebounder & has alot of talent & value at least we get a great young player & another assett !
I would be happy with this deal personally

highway robbery. you can't get something for nothing. we'll let landry expire for nothing before taking something like this.
no interest in patterson. landry netted kevin martin not too long ago and has only had a couple of "bad" games this season. in any event, we're looking to trade him for a small, not a big who has done absolutely nothing in the nba. all of sacramento would be outside of petrie's door if this went down asking us why we turned kevin martin into this guy.
you better believe that at 5-15 and nobody going to games at all, the kings will not do any trades that make them worse. landry is our second leading scorer as we stand and we have enough projects and gambles on the team as it is. this is 100% nonsense

Your commernts are way off base for the most part !
I do agree in hinsight you could say we traded Martin for PATTERSON but thats what happens sometimes in the NBA . Yes its possible we can get more but everyone knows he is expiring & that they will be reluctant to give to much in trade for him as he could walk .

Honestly.. I wouldn't mind trading Landry for Patterson. But their would have to be a 1st round pick involved. Landry isn't in this teams future. And I think a 1st round pick + Patterson would be worth it.

No thanks. We don't need to add another big, especially when the ones we have are better then Patterson. Plus, there isn't any indictation we want him.

I would seriously consider it. Patterson has range all the way out to the 3 point line, he plays D, and he's athletic. He and Cousins make and would make a very good combo. Don't forget, before Cousins and Wall came on the scene at Kentucky this was a lotto prospect. He still went pretty early in the 1st round still.

He was drafted 14th overall so still a lotto pick.

There are two logical Brooks to Sac trades.
Brooks for Thompson, salaries match up almost perfectly.
Brooks for a 2011 or 2012 First(2011 makes most sense, but it couldn't be too protected),using Sac cap space.
BTW,Brooks is starting to work out on court, and is real close to participating in full practices. Adelman is insisting on Brooks having several practices before playing him.

At least he's an older young player that spent more time than most in college.

landry/kings 2nd round pick for patterson/houston 1st round pick
we can take cory joseph on that pick, then draft terrence jones on our own pick (probably top 3)

Landry for patterson straight up isnt fair value... id like to see a 3rd team involved here instead of taking a rockets pick
