There are no rumors about this or anything, but I was bored and started playing around with the trade machine and came up with this.

so many people asking for Landry/Thompson.. and they all find a way to come up with some of the most crappiest trades ever thought up in the history of the NBA/realgm.

I'd rather let Landry go for nothing.

This is one of the worst offers I have ever read ! Amazingly it came from a KINGS fan & It would royally screw us in terms of value !

No this is a solid trade for Sac.

Landry is only avg 12 points a game. Boobie 13.

Boobie has been in the league for 4 years is just 24 and been in the playoffs with Lebron which is where toughness is learned.

This guy is shooting 42% FG, 90% FT, and 40% from 3 point range.

He is not a traditional PG because he played with Lebron. Who better would know how to play with Tyreke and Westphal's system. Also go look back at Bibby/Bobby Jackson didn't avg 7 assists per game for several years after they got here. PG's don't have to put up Nash or CP assist numbers to win in the NBA.

It would allow us to let Beno be the BJax role off the bench.

If Houston was not interested I think Landry would be a great fit with Cle off the bench since they need a post player to help with still young Hickson/Variejo/Jamison. Landry is an elite post efficient player who would fit in with what Clev needed.

I think Boobie is available with Mo Williams dominating right now.

So Boobie is actually a really solid trade and target for Sac.

Agreed with the post above. Too many fans expecting too much, this is a good solid trade.

Boobie's stats are inflated since Cleveland lacks any sort of leading scorer. This isn't a deal I'd consider, there are far more viable options out there.

Not at the expense of Landry.

Not at the expense of Landry? Look at any gamethread in the last two weeks you'll find nothing but posters hating his guts, but at the same time you want some amazing player or prospect for him?

This forum has been driving me crazy the last few weeks, people saying they'd dump so and so for a can of beans, but then when someone proposes a trade getting rid of one of the players we hate, with us getting a serviceable starting quality point guard in return we're all disgusted and insulted. It'd be hilarious if it weren't so sad.

Also to Lightning Strike's point, I'd say so what? I mean they probably are inflated a bit (ppg), I don't disagree, but I don't understand what that has to do with his excellent shooting from deep, or his freethrow shooting. Also I don't see the point of pointing out the Cavs lack of a leading scorer, you may want to look at this team and tell me where our astounding scorer is because I haven't seen one.

I can't help but notice the fact that whenever a player is about to be traded (and in Landry's case the writing certainly does appear to be on the wall) everyone on the board (to be fair not just this one, I am a Kings fan so I only post on the Kings board, but I do peruse others from time to time and see the same behavior) start making grand pronouncements about the player (who according to the gamethreads they despise) not leaving for anything less than a star, a prospect, a great 1st round pick, etc. How many times have we gotten this?

Last season Raymond Felton was putting up 12 points a game. This year with a new team he is getting more minutes and avg 18. He is 25 now and 24 when NY picked him up.

It takes time for any NBA players to develop. JT is now 25 and can be relied on every night. Greene and Casspi are 22 and still developing. Evans/DMC are still young.

Getting a guy like Boobie who is 24 is a good target to become a big scorer here if we wanted.

Boobie isn't a "big scorer". He's never proven to be anything but a good role player.

The Felton example doesbn't really work because he was always a starter, and yes, he's getting more points - but he always had starting talent. Boobie isn't a true starting talent, nor is he magically gonna grow from a role player to a truely capable starter on a contender.

Yes, it takes time for guys to develop, but thinking a role player can become a big scorer is a fantasy.

Yeah, get out of here trying to lecture us. Don't for a second compare stats for this season and think that's rational. The Kings as a team are in a slump as are all of their players. Stats don't tell the whole story. Landry was an efficient 18 ppg for the Kings last year and I expect him to get back there or better once the Kings get it back together. Guys just don't forget how to play.

And if all of you people think our players suck so much, why do you insist on making posts trying to get them from us every day? Take a look at the trade forum and the frequency JT/Landry/Dalembert/Casspi are involved in deals. These offers are freaking pathetic and no GM with half a brain would listen to them or even embarrass themselves by making them. Stop playing video games and fantasy basketball and actually watch games.

I don't know if there is an easy way to say this but:

There is no chance in hell that the Kings are going to offer up their franchise big for Nelson. None whatsoever.

Thanks for your response I live on the east coast so I only hear what is said publicly. There were questions about his maturity and that he could be available for an above average PG

There isn't any possibility that Cousins would be traded for such an offer, and anyone that speculates so or reports as much really shouldn't have their job.
