I didn't post this in the rumor area, because I didn't see/hear this as a rumor, I just kind of pulled it out of my.....(you get the idea). Let me know what you think.

Denver trades:
Melo
Billups
Balkman

Denver gets:
Devins Harris
Derrick Favors
Troy Murphy
Francisco Garcia
Draft pick (s)

New Jersey trades:
Troy Murphy
Devin Harris
Derrick Favors
Draft pick (probably just one)

New Jersey gets:
Melo
Beno Udrih
Carl Landry

Sacramento Trades:
Francisco Garcia
Beno Udrih
Carl Landy
Lotto protected 1st rounder

Sacramento Gets:
Billups
Balkman

Oh yeah, the salaries actually work: Trade ID: 5778963

Denver sheds some salary (when you add in Kenyon Martin's expiring) and gets much younger.
New Jersey won't want to give up Harris, but if they did then they'd only give up one 1st rounder (not the 3 picks I think I've heard rumored).
And the Kings, well they need a change and even with salary cap space for next year they won't be landing a top free agent. However Billups' leadership could really help. If they can win a little (or at all) this year, then next year could be the big step we've been hoping for. We need to use our cap space to trade for better players since we aren't going to land the big fish in free agency and it takes a while to grow players from draft picks.

Kings starting five:
PG -- Billups
SG -- Evans
SF -- Green/Casspi
PF -- Thompson
C -- Cousins/Dalembert

Bench: Jackson, Whiteside, Head, Jeter, Balkman

This would also solidy our lineup/rotation, something I think they really need.

No offense, but this may be the worst trade I have ever seen. This would in no way solidify our rotation, but kill whatever depth we had.

Landry>Balkman

Garcia, Udrih, 1st>>>>>>>Billups

No offense, since we see things differently.

Balkman is just salary filler for this trade. We are in effect trading 3 bench players (Garcia, Landry, Udrih) for a very good (and I'll admit aging) point guard. We aren't starting Landry, hot/cold with Udrih and who in the world can figure out how Westphal is using Garcia???

You don't think we'd be better with Billups this year?

Beno Udrih
2010-11 Statistics
PPG 13.2
RPG 3.10
APG 4.3
EFF + 14.46

Chauncey Billups
2010-11 Statistics
PPG 14.4
RPG 2.00
APG 5.4
EFF + 13.10

Your saying the difference in these stats are Landry, Garcia, and a 1st??????

Billups is nice, but could be had at a much cheaper price.

It's not all about stats though, Billups is the definition of on the court leader, although the first does seem a bit much.

A pick - at all - is too much. I'd love Billup's leadership, even if it's only for a year, but a pick from us is too much.

At most, Garcia and Landry for Billips.

2nd round, and we probably pull the trigger.
