This is ridiculous if true. Makes no since at all... unless of course the Maloofs want the Reno bighorns to make the playoffs again. :P

DeMarcus Cousins continues to be an issue for the Sacramento Kings, and the team is reportedly considering sending him to the NBA Developmental League.

Could actually be a good lessen for him, but I don't buy it. No reason to throw any more gasoline on this fire. I think people are making way too much out of a few incidents. Once again, if this team was playing well, had a great relationship with their coach and each other and he was being a jackass then cut the dork, but it's not like that at all.

Lawl, yeah right.

These issues, me thinks, are getting so seriously overblown.

I think it would do this child some good to be Dmoted to the Dleague. I can't think of a more immature player in the league.

Hahaha, you read the actual article they are using as source material and it's starts out like this....AHEM...

"The possibility is increasing that the Kings will have serious conversations about sending DeMarcus Cousins, the No. 5 pick in June and projected future starting center, to the NBA Development League."

The possibility is increasing that they WILL have??? Hahahaha. Give me a freaking break. 99% of this crap is pure guess work. Sure, guess enough and you might be right but the media is just starting **** now.

Personally im getting sick of all of these ball boys popping onto the kings forum just to spread more negativity. It wouldnt be so bad if they ever posted anything intelligent but all i see is a bunch of guys with hurt feelings screaming i told you so.

I don't see what it would prove? Is it just to embarrassed him? Same thing could be accomplished by Jude deactivating him for a game.

I think that would be a tad bit overboard. You punish the guy, yell at him a little bit, but I don't think sending him to the D-League will help him or the team. It would only drive a wedge even further between him and the team, I think. This guy is "supposed" to be our future star center, and has the talent to be that. I don't think you wanna make him start counting the days till his rookie contract is up.

I can't help but give a big, fat LOL when ever I log in. I'm not laughing because I think the story is fake, I'm just laughing cause we flat suck. This season is actually fun if you look at it from a different angle.

I don't think you quite understand. Cousins has a sense of entitlement that a lot of young players who come into the league have of which they have not earned.
And they have no respect for the game, for authority, and for professionalism being young, stubborn and self willed but want and even demand you respect them and 'their game.'
I can see right through DeMarcus Cousins and this just like I could Michael Beasley two years ago when he too left college too early and embarked on a Pro career not fully realizing what they are getting into and the committment and responsibility and accountability that goes with being a #2 overall pick and not pampered and catered to anymore.
He is in the big time now Sac fans. That is what is wrong with the NBA now since they instituted the draft lottery. You take a risk on drafting a guy with 'talent' and 'upside' whose work ethic and body language and personality are raw and will take time catching up to his game.
I say you should send him down to the D-League. Many rookies have gone. Patrick Patterson, Jonny Flynn, Terrence Williams, for one thing or another. It would do him good. Some players only respond to tough love.
You don't worry about embarassing him. He embarassed himself, the players association and the league with the choke sign and then acted like a baby when he is fined for that. You do stuff like that in grade school. I am not a troll. I liked the Kings and have them as one of my 7 teams on NBA League Pass. I've been here before lauding your young squad.
That does not make a good teammate which is something he could have learn with an extra year in college instead of rushing him to the NBA because he has 'talent.' Talent is not everything if it is not tamed, tried and tested. Fans think that buzz word 'talent' and 'upside' is the cure-all and you can look the other way if a guy has it.
But you can't. And that is very tough to coach. Many of you fans look on the outside and do not have to deal with Cousins in practice and have him turn on you as the losses mount up. Now I bet you that none of them will play for Westphal at all.
You bring these kids into the NBA who have not been coached up and the minute you discipline them or instruct them, esepcially if they come from fatherless homes they will tune you out and you will lose yo job. Some of you need to see the big picture here to get well...

No no no no no. Sending him down is EXACTLY what he needs to mature. You fans want to deal with him with kid gloves? I am from the old school.

Many new school younger NBA fans look at NBA dealings between the star player and coach like they do discipline from their parents...They think they should get a free pass and that DeMarcus Cousins should as well. I am not so sure. Let me explain...if I may?
But, that does not help your team or gain any respect from other players around the league. Many of the players and executives watch things like this and how you handle it. It sets a precedent. Whether it is Good or bad.
In fact, even the officials watch to see what he does from now on. Reputation is a motha sucker. I know as a Bucks fan. Trust me. Once you have a reputation in the NBA as a clown and a team that
is suspect you won't get any respect at all.
I watched the entire game. Even the part where Westphal wanted a high five and DeMarcus left him hanging out in front of everybody, and then Tyreke makes a mention of coaching in his postgame comments. IT IS NOT ALWAYS THE COACH WHO IS THE PROBLEM.
The telltale sign now with what the league thinks of you will be how your teams games are called now. You saw three straight charge calls on DeMarcus and a hook, which they almost never cal.
And about 20 offensive fouls were called on your team. They used to do that to my Bucks. That tells you right there, you are headed south. The refs were just begging Cousins to say anything and he was gone...You are going to be a marked team now. Again don't question me. I know!
They have a mandate to clean up the league of crybabies and make an example with these no reaction rules and giving guys T's. I know...Kobe was even ejected in the Bucks vs Lakers game.
The NBA is in a 'we are listening to the complaints of the fans' mode before the lockout and cleaning up the league of guys like Cousins...because I bet they see that is one reason why the attendence for NBA games is lagging. Inproper conduct.
Your team had better get a wrap on this kid if he is your future Center. If you ask me personally it was a bad pick just like Evans was. I wanted your team to take Ricky Rubio...as another 'white chocalate' Jason Williams type PG.
And this year, Evan Turner or Wesley Johnson. But hey, that is just me. But read what I say. You better handle it. Because it will be a long road back to respectability.

How could the Kings draft Turner or Wes Johnson when they were already off the board?

How would it look for Kings to draft Rubio when he's likely staying overseas for the next few years? You could make a case for Curry but certainly not for Rubio.

Cousins is being a headcase for sure but Kings have to hope that he grows out of it. I do think sending him to the DLEAGUE for a bit may help him get a handle on things.

A bad pick like Tyreke Evans? Are you delusional? Did Tyreke win the ROY last season or not? Sure, you can say he hasn't proven himself to be a bonafide star, just yet -- but you surely cannot say he was a bad pick. Especially, when you would rather have a player who has not played one NBA minute over a ROY winner.

Evan Turner and Wesley Johnson were picked ahead of DMC, so was your suggestion to steal the Wolves and 76ers picks w/o the NBA knowing? You are losing credibility quick.

This stupid article is based on one sentence from Scott Howard-Cooper's article. The sentence is only a speculating the Kings "know that a demotion is an option." And of course they do, just like any team knows that any gruntled young player demotion is an option.

Scott Howard-Cooper's:

"It may not be happening on Christmas Eve. But let’s just say the Kings definitely know a very public demotion is an option."

The points made by the Bucks' fan are fair and legitimate, but not realistic in the modern NBA.

I am also an old time, old fashioned ballplayer who grew up when this type of behavior saw you never palying organized ball again. However, by making a move like sending DMC to D-league FOR WHATEVER REASON, you guarantee that he will NEVER be picked up by the NBA as a future star. The sad reality for GM's and owners in pro sports today - ESPECIALLY in the NBA - is that you actually do have to structure a good portion of your teams' marketing and player time around that factor. David Stern "rescued" the NBA in the 80's by marketing a star/individual driven game that was predicated on big media markets ALWAYS being involved somehow with the top matchups and playoffs. Unfortunately the end result is now with us. The method of making your team a player in the league is by drafting one or two quality players that have "it" that the league looks for and marketing the hell out of them. Yes, it was extremely foolish to take a volatile 19-year old and post giant sized posters of him all over town before he had played a minbute in the league. But taking a reality check, is that not the EXACT same thing that was done with Shaq? Dwight? or name your other young big? None of those guys actually even had a quarter of the BASKETBALL SKILLS (i.e. - shooting, passing, positioning) that DMC has at the same age. They were marketable based on their persona, size, athleticism, etc.. We should be patient and understand that even though the behavior should not just be accepted, you can understand a kid who is truly talented as a BASKETBALL PLAYER would be getting pretty darn frustrated at this point when he has been told he is one of the saviours here.

Maybe the whole Demarcus cousins fiasco is bigger than any kings fan can understand at this point. clearly Demarcus has issues. But clearly when giving PT he is a monster. But no doubt in my mind that the kid has his issues. Not sure what they are...But somethings wrong.

Yeah, I for one think these problems are seriously overblown. He's still a kid, for christ sake. If he's doing this in two, three years, then we have a problem. But we're losing, we have no identity, and he's coming to terms with his own personality and how it'll have to change in the NBA. Not like he's fought anyone or choaked a coach.

It's maturity, nothing huge by all accounts. He isn't getting into trouble off the floor. By all accounts he's a good person. He isn't a mean person. People compare him to Vin Baker, but they also neglect to mention that Baker has had a series of substance abuse problems. Cousins' past isn't as pure as it could be, but I'll wait for the big stuff, or this kind of behavior when he doesn't probably have a legitimate gripe in some ways.
