Tied at the end of the 1st. We've been missing a lot of shots badly--clearly winded at times. Given that, I think we've played pretty well. Demarcus got pulled early despite the fact that he was playing excellent offensively, but I guess we want to monitor him in Denver's altitude. That and Nene was burning him.

If we start making some outside shots, we should be in good shape.

Honestly what has Pooh Jeter done the whole game to deserve all the minutes he's getting? Meanwhile Cisco and Casspi cant get off the bench.

Most of this is just missing shots right now. It would be nice to find some kind of answer for Nene right now though.

Wrong.

We should be down by 20+ right now. Melo is 1 for 11 and the Nuggets have 6 more TO's than us...it was only a game because we were relying on the Nuggets turning the ball over. As soon as they got less sloppy, we fell behind quick (that and Cousins has only played 13 minutes for some reason). I think a certain poster on this board will point out the TO's portion very quickly... ;)

Part of it is definitely that we need to play Demarcus though too. He and Landry are the only guys who are really going offensively.

With that said, we still won't win if we don't shoot better from the outside and from the line. Not to say our defense couldn't be better as well. We need to make Nene more of a passer right now and stay out on Chauncey.

That's not fair. We're forcing a lot of those TOs. We fell behind when our offense was inconsistent. Part of that was a lack of transition opportunities, but more of it was our poor outside shooting catching up to us.

Pooh/Udrih/Evans/Landry/Dalembert was out there at one point - not one shooter on the floor.

we keep talking about our poor outside shooting... then our best outside shooter should play more than a minute and a half. this is ridiculous

Team looked good in the first quarter. Ran some motion through JT even, but, leave it up to Westphal to foul things up. Note to self, Jeter, Beno, and Tyreke out there looked just about as bad in reality as it did on paper. You don't need that many ball handlers, you need shooters!!! His rotations just about killed us and he totally out thought himself yet again.

I'd like to see us go with a bigger wing lineup. Something like Tyreke/Omri/Donte.

Yep, the game started off like the team we should be and were the last game. 2nd quarter was the team we have been all year. Living off of the other team turning the ball over. I'll take the consistent offense and spacing the floor over the usual team ANY day. Come on Westphal, think but don't over think.

It's pretty funny watching how awful Melo is playing. It's as if he totally forgot how to play basketball.
