Sacramento, though, has won two of three after winning twice in its previous 24 games. The Kings rallied from 14 down to beating Phoenix 94-89 on Sunday as rookie center DeMarcus Cousins scored 13 of his season-high 28 points in the fourth quarter and Francisco Garcia added 20 points and 11 rebounds.
"It's our progress as a team," Cousins said. "Two weeks ago we probably would have had 10 turnovers down the stretch and they would've shot 90 percent in the fourth quarter. But it was a great team effort."
Cousins has averaged 21.7 points and 10.7 rebounds and shot 56.5 percent in the last three games after totaling 13 points while shooting 22.2 percent in the previous three.
The Kings are looking to win three straight at home for the first time since a four-game run Nov. 25-Dec. 2, 2009.
Atlanta has won five in a row over Sacramento.

We aren't gonna be able to dominate inside, since Horford and Smith are good big men.

Athletic teams always give us problems, but I'm optimistic.

1. Inside punch: Atlanta forward/center Al Horford was an All-Star last season, but at 6-foot-10 he's an undersized center. DeMarcus Cousins will have a big size advantage against Horford.

2. Spread the floor: If Francisco GarcĂa and Omri Casspi are making jump shots, Cousins will have more room to operate and Tyreke Evans will have space to drive.

3. Backcourt production: The Kings haven't gotten much scoring from Evans and Beno Udrih the last two games. If that continues, the bench will have to pick up the slack.

I have this feeling Tyreke is going to have a huge game.

I think Bill Walton may be commentating tonight, since a friend of mine just checked him in at the Embassy Suites here in Sac.

Actually Hortford and Smith are going to be playing PF and SF respectively due to injury. So we can dominate them early on int he paint at the very least with Cousins/JT against Collins

What a difference in DMC from the beginning of the season to now. Even his attitude seems better. If tyreke can play the way he was a couple games ago and DMC keeps it up we should have a good chance tonight.

The outside shot has been as much of a key for us winning as any other player.

I mean try remember.. when we won games it was mostly cause Casspi/Garcia was great and thier shots were going on.

Thats our key everynight.. if we get them to establish themselfs as threats, our lifes as so much easier on the floor.

Honesty, all we need is for DeMarcus to have a good all around game and this team should be able to win. He can pass, Score/shoot, and Drive. He's a triple threat.

(Cisco and Omri also need to be effective with the long ball).

And as long as Tyreke isn't ball hogging we'll be in good shape. Tyreke needs to be a good teammate this game and pass the ball. Hopefully he can get his jumper going early.

One year we named out hoop it up team "We Give L's" I'll be there like last game. Hopefully we'll get the same result.

Haha...nice team name. I'm hoping for that result, too.

Anyone else think that this team should try out an Evans/Garcia/Casspi/Thompson/Cousins lineup? Think of it this way:

1) Casspi is a better fit than Beno is in the starting lineup because he's more catch-and-shoot and is a better overall 3pt shooter.
2) It gives us massive size so we can control the boards
3) It hides Casspi's defensive liabilities because Cisco can guard 3s. So you just put Casspi on the other team's weakest offensive player (tonight that would probably be Bibby).

Is Cousins colorblind?

Evans/Garcia/Casspi/Thompson/Cousins?? Nah, that lineup worked far too well last game to try it! I say Jeter, Beno, Evans, Greene, and D-Block.

Cousins has been ignored far too many times on offense already. At least they seem to be running the right stuff, keep on Westphal!

I assume your talking about the head band. I'm guessing it's a special thing, the Hawks are wearing them too.

Other than their default starting lineup (the one they are using right now), I'm digging this one.

The Kings surround both Evans & Cousins with the 2 best shooters of the team (Cisco & Omri). 3s anyone? I hope Westphal eventually decides to do this. I'm sure this lineup will excel.
