Just wondering with him falling out of the rotation in atlanta completely now, would the Hawks go for a straight salary dump with a future second thrown their way as compensation?

It's worth a shot.

I doubt it. But I wouldn't be opposed to offering Landry for his services and a 2nd.

Supposedly Jason Thompson couldn't net him a couple of months ago, so I'd bet they won't go for that.

Landry would be overpaying. Teague has done nothing in this league. Why do we want him again? It's disturbing that people actually believe the Kings offered Thompson for him and got turned down.

Didn't believe that then, certainly don't believe that now. Besides it came out somewhere that the situations were reversed. Everything about that garbage rumor sounded wrong. I like Teague but a legit starter quality big for a PG getting no minutes??? Yeah right.

when given playing time, teague showed some flashes mostly his speed and athleticism.. but he isnt worth much....

I'm kind of tired of these diamond in the rough deals. I think we should talk when we're spending money.

Teague is an excellent prospect. He won in college routinely vs UNC. He is a Kevin Johnson low assists/high scoring type extremely athletic PG.

He is behind Bibby who the Kings couldn't find time for but has led Atl to the playoffs every year.

They cannot afford an up and down young guy like Teague.

Landry would be an excellent backup big for Atl.

Landry is not an NBA starter.

Thompson AND Hawes are outrebounding Landry in less minutes.

Thompson is also outshooting Landry and he just steals time from Thomspon/DMC learnig to play together.

Atl is a playoff team and could use a steady offense from a backup like Landry.

Likely we would have to add something because Landry is a FA but it would be worth it for a guy with a ceiling like Teague.

Thompson takes less shots than Landry and most of JT's points are easy put backs and lay ups.

Actually ATL needs the cap and probably would LOVE to have a shot on a flyer on Landry while gearing up for a playoff run with a sixth man like him behind their starting line.

That said, for just the reasons that I - and others mentioned about Teague and his not showing anything really yet - is why I would offer anything more than what I posted.
