Jerry Sloan is reportedly resigning from the coaching responsibilities from the Utah Jazz -- along with one of his Assistant Coaches. A press conference is schedule today. I'll provide a link later.

But WOW, just wow!

Didn't figure Sloan for a mid season exit, I wonder if he's got some kind of medical thing

Hmmmm....I know Sloan is out, but I wonder if eventually Phil Johnson hits our coaching radar....hmmm....

Sad to see a legend like Sloan exit.

2 of the longest tenured coaches left their teams this year (the other being Jeff Fisher of the Titans).

Jerry Sloan WAS the Utah Jazz. Things aren't looking too good for the Jazz if D-Will leaves when his player option kicks in.

The article on the front page says that he was clashing very badly with Deron Williams. He also felt that management was favoring Willliams over himself, and he just had enough.

Truly shocked by the news. Glad to see that Sloan and Johnson both left on their own terms, though.

I heard he left because D-Will was being a :censored: . If that's true, good for Sloan.

[edit - ICMTM] Really?

Yeah, there are several reports out there that Sloan and D-Will clashed and nearly came to blows Wed during halftime of the Chicago game. The reports also were suggesting that the owners/management were siding more with Williams. Basically looks to me like Sloan decided that if he wasn't going to be listened to, then he was out. Phil's leaving was basically him supporting a long time friend.

I'm so glad the Clippers lost to the Cavs before we could. Did anybody watch the game? I wonder who Griffin was guarding, because both Jamison and Hickson went nuts.

Griffin reminds me of Brad Miller defensively. He really does. Sans length he certainly has the tools to be better, but it's like defense is nothing more than the time in between ally oops to him or something.

I am just plain tired of the Melo situation just trade him & get it done with so we can see other teams make their trades or just say your not trading him & move on !

He was probably guarding both of them, thats why they went off.

Would be nice to see Melo finally dealt today so all teams waiting to see what happens with him will finally know & move on to their deals .
Once Melo is dealt we will likely see alot more deals alot faster providing they dont wait until the last minute to get a deal done .
