What W-L Record do the Kings finish with?

Post#1 » by KF10 » Thu Feb 17, 2011 9:11 am

The Kings are 13-40 entering the all star break. The Kings have 29 games remaining for the season. Here are their remaining opponents:

Tue, Feb 22 @ Miami
Wed, Feb 23 @ Orlando
Fri, Feb 25 @ Charlotte
Sat, Feb 26 @ Memphis
Mon, Feb 28 vs LA Clippers
Wed, Mar 2 vs Portland
Sat, Mar 5 @ Utah
Mon, Mar 7 vs Houston
Wed, Mar 9 vs Orlando
Fri, Mar 11 @ San Antonio
Sat, Mar 12 @ New Orleans
Mon, Mar 14 vs Golden State
Wed, Mar 16 vs Cleveland
Fri, Mar 18 vs Philadelphia
Sun, Mar 20 @ Minnesota
Mon, Mar 21 @ Chicago
Wed, Mar 23 @ Milwaukee
Fri, Mar 25 @ Indiana
Sun, Mar 27 @ Philadelphia
Tue, Mar 29 vs Phoenix
Wed, Mar 30 @ Denver
Fri, Apr 1 vs Denver
Sun, Apr 3 vs Utah
Tue, Apr 5 @ Houston
Wed, Apr 6 @ San Antonio
Fri, Apr 8 @ Memphis
Sun, Apr 10 @ Golden State
Mon, Apr 11 vs Oklahoma City
Wed, Apr 13 vs LA Lakers

==============

I could see the Kings winning another ~10 games. That would put them around in the low-20s for their W column.

Thoughts?

I don't know, things are dangerously trending towards an end much like last season, which wouldn't be good considering we have so few wins up to this point. I'll say....8 wins.

I think the better question is, if we finish with something like..22 wins (9 more wins, which I believe is a stretch), Westfail's 2 year record with the team will be (quickly throwing together the numbers) something like 47 and 117.

Ugh.

But let's look at the schedule.

Tue, Feb 22 @ Miami L
Wed, Feb 23 @ Orlando L
Fri, Feb 25 @ Charlotte L
Sat, Feb 26 @ Memphis L
Mon, Feb 28 vs LA Clippers W
Wed, Mar 2 vs Portland L
Sat, Mar 5 @ Utah L
Mon, Mar 7 vs Houston W
Wed, Mar 9 vs Orlando L
Fri, Mar 11 @ San Antonio L
Sat, Mar 12 @ New Orleans L
Mon, Mar 14 vs Golden State W
Wed, Mar 16 vs Cleveland W
Fri, Mar 18 vs Philadelphia L
Sun, Mar 20 @ Minnesota W
Mon, Mar 21 @ Chicago L
Wed, Mar 23 @ Milwaukee L
Fri, Mar 25 @ Indiana L
Sun, Mar 27 @ Philadelphia L
Tue, Mar 29 vs Phoenix L
Wed, Mar 30 @ Denver L
Fri, Apr 1 vs Denver W
Sun, Apr 3 vs Utah L
Tue, Apr 5 @ Houston L
Wed, Apr 6 @ San Antonio L
Fri, Apr 8 @ Memphis W
Sun, Apr 10 @ Golden State L
Mon, Apr 11 vs Oklahoma City L
Wed, Apr 13 vs LA Lakers L

So I'm going to guess about 7-8 wins, like ZZZ said.

My methodology is counting all of the games they "should" win based on the crappiness of the other teams' rosters, dividing that by 2 for stupid late game play and sitting Evans, then adding 2 for upsets. So that's 7. I'd bet we finish with exactly 20 wins.

Based on the remaining schedual I would guess 7 more wins based on the team we have now .
I reserve the right to change my guess on the basis of trades higher or lower depending on who we do or dont get .

Based on what I am being told it doesnt appear that we will trade many parts as of yet though it could change .
We are almost certainly getting a 1st round pick for Landry but the pick could change if we were able to dump Garcia's contact as well . Though again anything can change who really knows in the end .

I'll be the optimistic one. 13 more wins. We go 13-16 in our final 29 games and finish just barely ahead of last year.

LOL +1!! Scientifically sound! I think between 6-9 wins are possible.

Man, even being optimistic is depressing. We basically have to go close to a .500 record for the rest of the season just to improve on last year's record :(

Without even looking at who we are playing exactly, i will say about 7 more wins. At this point we are so inconsistent that it wont make a difference who we play. Right now we can easily beat the lakers and lose to the cavs the very next night, and i would not be surprised one bit.
