Evans sat out Friday night's T-Mobile Rookie Challenge because of plantar fasciitis in his left foot. The injury also kept him out of the Kings' final two games before the All-Star break.
Evans had discussed having a laser procedure on his foot earlier this season. With the pain becoming too much to play with, Evans said he'll wait before deciding what to do with his foot.
"I'll let the doctor see," Evans said. "Whatever the doctor says, that's what I'm going to do. I just want the pain to go away and try to be 100 percent."
"It just feels the same," Evans said. "I've got a little knot (at the bottom of the foot)."

Tyreke Evans will miss at least the next three weeks of action while he undergoes shock treatment on his injured foot, the Kings announced Monday. Evans missed the final two games prior to the All-Star Weekend, and pulled out of the Rookie Challenge at All-Star. He had been reported (by FanHouse's Sam Amick) to be leaning toward shock treatment in December, and said then that he planned to wait until All-Star to figure it out.
Evans' treatment will take three weeks, and the Kings say he'll be re-evaluated at that point. He'll be in a walking boot until then. There are only seven weeks left this season, and it's quite possible 'Reke could miss the rest of the 2010-11 season. Given certain news about the potential for Kings relocation, Tyreke Evans could very well have played his final game in Sacramento. That was the most awful sentence I have ever written.
Expect Paul Westphal to continue to try different guard combinations with Beno Udrih, Pooh Jeter and Jermaine Taylor in the coming weeks. The Kings aren't expected to be active at the trade deadline, and Evans' injury doesn't change that.
The Kings next play tonight at the Miami Heat. Sacramento is 1-6 this season in games without Evans.

As much I like to see Evans rest, this is not good considering the fact that the Kings are in the middle of deciding that relocation is a realistic possibility. The Kings really needed Evans to help them win games, but now? The Ws will be very scarce.
This sucks.
