Kings keeping Dalembert despite offers

A number of veteran teams have expressed interest in Kings big man Samuel Dalembert -- either via a trade before today's 3 p.m. trade deadline or via waivers if Dalembert gets bought out by the Kings after the deadline.
Don't count on either happening. Sources say the Kings have rebuffed a number of trade offers for Dalembert and have no intention of buying him out after the deadline.
With teams like Miami, New York, Houston and Oklahoma City looking to shore up their front line, Dalembert, whose contract expires at the end of the season, has been an intriguing prospect. He averaged 17.5 points and 11 rebounds in his last two outings versus the Heat and Magic.
But the Kings have maintained that they want Dalembert on their team for the rest of the season and may actually have interest in extending him beyond this season.

I'd be interested in knowing what some of those offers were.

We won't be back. They won't pay him and why would he want to stay here?

Why wasn't Dalembert dealt? Kings want to keep him beyond this season. No Landry gives team a good look at JT/DMC/Sammy rotation.

We wanna keep him, I hope we keep him, (MLE seems fair).

I think Dally is worth more than the MLE. When you look in the past, big men are usually paid at a premium.

If contenders are offering Dally the MLE and we are offering the MLE, he is going to bolt to the contenders. That is why I think the Kings have to overpay a bit for Dally.

I hope we can keep him. I think he fits this team going forward in a big way. Not to mention he can be a good influence on Big Cuz.

That assumes that the MLE exists next year--I doubt it does.

To me this was a good bet by Petrie. Landry was young enough that teams like the Pacers would go after him in free agency with their cap money. Dalembert is old enough that most of those same teams will ignore him--thus he's really only going to be targeted by teams looking to contend. Nearly all of those teams (the contenders) are capped out and almost assuredly will be under the new CBA. So Petrie put himself in a great position to keep Dalembert if he so chooses.

Yeah the only downside is that now he thinks he is a primary scorer instead of a complimentary guy.

As anyone heard anything about what was offered for him?
