Zip respect for JT. He's getting killed out there and the refs just stare.

Wow, screw you Landry. I've seen more effort and aggressiveness in this quarter from Landry than I did in all of his games with the Kings this season. So he CAN play like he cares.

I just saw that there is a chance that Rick Adelmen might be available this summer because neither he or the rockets are sure they want to continue the relationship. Is there any chance we could convince him to come back to the kings, and allow us to fire westphal for a coach that we all know and are comfortable with and who really knows how to run an offense. Our players would look good playing the princeton. I could see cousins in the middle directing traffic thorton and casspi sitting on the wings, evans driving the lane and Thompson playing cleanup under the hoop.

I'd welcome Adelman back with open arms. He'd at least give us an identity.

Adelman wouldn't come back. The Maloofs burned that bridge to a crisp.

Can't complain too much about the second half though. I missed most of it because I'm stupid, but Cuz had a great half it seems.

Ugh...not a whole lot you can do when Paul is making his outside shots. We're doing the right things defensively though.

Looks like Cuz is hurt. But we sure do need him right now. The whole "no hub of our offense" thing is really killing us right now.

Some thoughts after the game...

Cousins is gettting better and better with each game..

I really like what Thornton brings to the team and he will be dangerous when Reke gets back.

What is up with JT NEVER finishing at the rim on the first shot? Its seems to me he can get to the rim and position himself for an easy layup most of the time, but he never finishes?

Can we please stop starting Luther Head! I mean really!

And finally as season #2 for westphal is coming to a close I have come to the conclusion he is not our coach for the future and needs to go.

Thank you. That is all.

+1

Here are my thoughts as well (or to reiterate what you have said):

The meltdown started earlier than expected in the fourth quarter. Paul went nuts and starting to make everything.

I think once Cousins got the 5th foul early into the fourth quarter, it was down hill from there. The Kings offense was putrid w/o Cousins!

The Kings are missing both Tyreke & Beno badly. These guys can effectively create their own shots and create for others. Outside of those two guys, it's literally Cousins & Thornton (and to some extent Taylor) can create their own shot with some effectiveness. Everyone else needs someone to create for them. When you see a guy like Dalembert asking for the ball on offense, you know your team offense is bad enough.

And I hope Westphal stops playing Luther as a starter. He is pretty bad. There are times I have to think to myself why he is on the court? If it was for defense and shooting, he isn't providing any of those things. But those are not the most irritating things for me about Head, the thing that gets me the most is that Head rather passes to Dalembert in the post not Cousins. I can't count how many times this happens. I see Cousins asking for the ball but Head swings the ball to the opposite side of the perimeter.

Thompson still can not finish around the rim if his life depends on it. Although, the dude is a work horse and usually grabs his own miss and converts on his 2nd/3rd try. But still, you hate to see a stolen assist from a guy like Evans, Cousins or Beno if they help set up Thompson for an easy basket.

Dalembert is too error prone for his own right. He constantly bobbles balls, thinks he is an offensive force by demanding the ball in the post and trying to take fade away Js. Although, he has positives i.e. blocking shots, rebounding etc but I don't think its almost enough to glance over his negatives.

I like Thornton. Although, he gets trigger happy at times, he is capable to make shots and ALOT of shots to boot. He is our #2/#3 offensive option once Tyreke is back with us. That wouldn't bother me at all. He is a much better offensive option than Landry ever was imo. His ability to score and shoot anywhere on the floor has been proven valuable to us so far. His defense still needs work (although his team defense is not bad) and I hope he can improve that aspect over the summer. Having a guy that can play defense alongside with Evans (who is a good defender in his own right) will be rewarding. I hope Thornton replaces Beno in the starting lineup soon because Beno's defense is awful.
