rotation when Tyreke gets back?

So what do you guys think the rotation will look like when Tyreke gets back? I think we have definitely dialed in our frontcourt. Dally and DMC starting with JT backing up both of em. I like Cisco at SF with Omri backing him up. I think we should run a Tyreke/Thornton backcourt with Beno backing em both up (same roll JT is playing in the frontcourt).

Dally/JT
DMC/JT
Cisco/Omri
Thornton/Beno
Evans/Beno

spot minutes from Jackson, Head, Pooh, Greene, Taylor

i dont see that happening with PW, mainly because its a good idea... i see omri losing most of his minutes, and cisco getting decreases also, with westphal going with beno reke and thornton (not to start) but for late stretches and such

Westphal said he is going to experiment with Beno, Thornton and Tyreke combination a lot. Although, I prefer seeing Cisco instead of Beno out there with them.

Isnt that what he always says? I think we can translate this as "I have no clue"

Beno
Reke

I think reke + beno will share the PG spot as they did before reke was injured... and I think even more so now that coach w can rely more on marcus thorton and the way he's been playing it would be a crime to see him lose so many minutes.... you'll also see jermaine taylor in the 2 spot here and there... and hopefully .. I pray that luther head is demoted to towel boy.. at that position I think he can finally bring something special to this team.
---------------
Cisco
Caspi Will most likely get the bulk of the back up minutes at the sf spot... with grene getting minutes here and there... also you'll see Jermaine taylor/thorton popping here and there because coach w seems to like to go small with 3 gaurds in there...
---------------
Cousins
Dally

Jason Thompson will back up both dally/cousins.

I expect tyreke and beno to start. I think thats good too bring thorton off the bench. He's perfect to be our bobby jackson/jason terry guy. I can see him scoring 15+ ppg off the bench

Thornton just scored 42 the other night and you want to demote him to the bench? I see Jermaine Taylor as a better option for that. I like the Original lineup having Beno off the bench, but I really like Pooh coming on as the first PG sub so that would throw that off obviously. I think cutting Thornton's minutes would be a huge mistake though. Not only for production reasons, but also for morale.

I think your giving Head too much credit here

On a serious note, I would like to see a starting back court of Evans/Thornton.. We all know what evans/beno can do. Its time to give thornton his shot. Especially with the season winding down these last few games with Thornton playing with evans can be valuable for GP making moves this offseason.

People shouldn't see going to the bench as a demotion.

I agree that it'll probably be Beno and Tyreke, but if a Tyreke/Thornton back court works to an extent at one point in the game, then I'm sure Westphal will go with that.

You can't say with any confidence you know what PW is going to do.

Sure I can. Because he'll do EVERYTHING at some point.

It doesn't matter what I should see. It's what Thornton will see. And I guarantee when Evans comes back and Thornton is put on the bench, he's gonna see it as a demotion. Especially considering how well he's been playing in such a short time since coming over in the trade. I think he was probably fine with coming off the bench on a team going to the playoffs, but won't be when coming off the bench to a team tied for 3rd worst in the league.

I would much, much, much rather see Evans, Thornton, and Cisco, but I have a major feeling it's going to be Beno, Thornton, and Evans. From overpowering, to undersized. :-? Could still work though.

We'll see. We can't speculate on how Thornton will feel about it. What I do know is that with Omri being more inconsistent, we're really lacking a scoring punch off the bench right now.

That is true. I guess we'll see what happens. I find it hard to believe that Westphal will be anything resembling consistent with his starting lineups so maybe we'll be able to compare which ones we feel are better once Tyreke is back. Hopefully tonight against the Pacers?
