I'm from Toronto. So bare with me. I'm confused...I thought Sac fans would be happy that the team might no longer leave the city..

According to reports, the Maloofs have been trying to move the team for years (since before they even were majority owners in 1998). And the last few years, the Maloofs have been saying that they were cutting salary because they were waiting for the new CBA...but it's obvious that they wanted to get the lowest possible salary so that they could use those profits to move (easier to make a profit on a season with the LEAGUES LOWEST PAYROLL).

I want the Kings to stay, no question.

But I want the Maloofs to GTFO.

We've had season tickets since the mid 2000's. I'm done. I don't care anymore. I'd like the Maloofs to pay their money on the way out of town and call it good.

I will not vote above because my option is not present.

I am a loyal die hard Kings fan since they moved here and we had OUR own team. I went to nearly every game, one way or the other when I was young and poor for years and years while they completely sucked. I suffered through poor ownership, poor management and poor coaching. Apathetic players (the "Tizzy rules" - and no, Wayman wasn't such a great guy all of a sudden just because he died from cancer), and lonely all-stars (Mitch Richmond). Then finally everything came together and we had a CONTENDER. We had the single most exciting sports franchise in pro sports to watch in MY sport that I have played for 35 of my 40 years. They were good guys and truly a TEAM. Then it blew up with Webbers injury and yet we STILL had a chance and the ability to make it go. But all of a sudden, the ownership seemed to change their approach. They overruled one of the three best GM's in the sport. They started a revolving wheel of coaching and brought in boatloads of mediocre players signed to too large of contracts in a vain attempt to hang on. Then the atmosphere became REALLY dark as they didn't just tank in an effort to come up quick, they also seemed to intentionally undermine the attempts to get the team a new house (measure Q).

Now this season the rumors started swirling and couldn't be quelled. It was obvious by Christmas that they were based in fact and those facts eventually reared their ugly head. Now we are held hostage by a pack of short ugly rich playboys whose sole talent in life was to completely raze to the ground the minor empire their hard-working father had built on his own hard work.

My choice would be to support my team if they stay, but ONLY if the ownership is changed.

I'm kinda in this block too. I did at one time think the Maloofs genuinely wanted to stay, but by now all bridges of trust have been burned for me.

I absolutely will. It's not like supporting a sports team is really a rational process anyway.

Yes id support them but it would never be the same... I would have ZERO trust/support in the Maloofs and would always expect them to try and sneak out the back door.

From the events that have occurred its like getting back with your girlfriend after she has cheated and promises to never do it again.... Booooooooo!

I wish the Maloofs would sell the franchise and i would be a top supporter once again. If not i will attend games, always bad mouth the owners, and continue on my way.

Honestly, I'll probably support them whether they're in Anaheim or Sac, but my respect for the Maloofs has dwindled immeasurably so.

I only will if the commit to Sacramento long term. If somehow the Anaheim deal falls through and we have the Kings next season then thats good and all but why support them if they are still trying to leave?

This is kinda where I'm at...minus the season ticket part. I'm pretty much sick of the Maloofs and their shallow "it's all about our playboy show" personalities. They're spoiled, greed incorporated. I would gladly support the Kings if they were no longer in the picture. But as long as the franchise remains tainted with their stupidity, I'm content ignoring the team.

I was going to hope on, but just thinking how well this young team could develop into a contender, we went through the bs rebuilding and losing, we should be able to get the joy of winning with these players and I think that is coming next year.

If ownership changed hands and the team remained I would probably be more inclined to be a fan. Right now though I just can't wait until baseball season starts.

I'm having second thoughts dude.

I hate the maloofs but still love this team. I don't think I can ignore this team outright.

Clipper Season Ticket Holder here and I don't like the move. Sterling won't move the Clips to Anaheim b/c so many Clip Season Tix holders are from Downtown L.A..
Sacramento should have a team, the Maloof's have enough money to buy land and start to builsd a multi purpose venue; they are greedy as heck & want the public to pay. There father was the same way when he bought the Buffalo Braves, moved them as the San Diego Clippers, dumped them 2 years later & bought the Houston Rockets.
Can't the city buy the team like Green Bay & sell shares? I would buy a share to keep SACTO there & come to games twice a year when they play the Clips.
Good Luck Sacramento, I hope you get what is best for the city & fans!

At this point even if the KINGS stay wich I hope but doubt honestly .

I would only support the KINGS if 1 of the 2 happen only .

1. The Maloofs sell the team while the new owner keeps the KINGS in SAC wich this scenerio wont happen .

or

2. They stay in SAC while the Maloofs are the ownes & they prove immediatly they will spend the money needed to get the right players , coach , coaching staff .

A new arena would be nice & an apology to all Kings fans via the Sac Bee paper for putting us under all this stress etc. ( again wont happen )

Kings right now look 95% gone right now & I only have a few more games as a KINGS fan it looks like .

Anyone who lives in Sac that has always been a Kings fan I have a very difficult time understanding why they would even consider being a KINGS fan if they move .By doing so its like saying you have no problem being a loyal SAC KINGS fan & its all good that they moved . I cant see why anyone would be okay with the team going & yet supporting them .

This by the way was a SACRAMENTO KINGS board not an ANAHEIM KINGS board .

If they move It would serve the Maloofs right if they had to sell the team soon enough not to mention The Palms.
