This thread would be for trades that either we come up with or trades that other fans may have for us. Let's try and keep them as realistic as possible..

I really dislike the idea of trying to shove every trade that any poster has into one thread, more often than not ideas get completely swamped and never reacted to.

It's a good idea in theory but an utter failure in practice.

I understand what you're saying but I'd rather not sift through a bunch of trades and let the trades clutter the board.

I actually don't mind the idea. If you think about it, most -- if not all -- trades people post are crap anyways; now that all of these crappy trades will be on one thread I won't have to see them on the main board, thanks!

Interested in any sort of S&T of Dalembert to the Hawks?

If it involved Josh Smith than yes.

I'm guessing you wouldn't be interested in giving up anything of interest, so not so much.

Although with that said, if he wanted to leave, and the Hawks were okay with giving up Hinrich (because of Teague's emergence), that might be something worth kinda looking at. I'd prefer Sam, but you can't always get good value out of a S&T.

An interesting trade thought is Casspi for Ramon Sessions of the Cavs. I think this improves the PG postion a lot and gives the Kings someone who could start and is pass first and is really good making plays for his teammates. I know this would really depend on if we got Knight or Walker in the draft, but just a thought.

No way I do that deal that makes clevland far better & us no better really & not really improving our pg situation.

I would have no problem with the addition of Sessions but wouldn't deal Casspi for him. I'm not a huge fan of Casspi's but I think other teams around the league have think higher of Casspi. I remember talk about New York being interested mid-year.

You can pretty much bet the farm that the Kings aren't going to be adding a high priced backup PG any time soon. Even if Beno is moved probably not.

I think our guard rotation is pretty much set, Things were different before we got Thornton, but now the trio seems pretty set to me, with some random guard picking up about 5-10 minutes of garbage time.

I see the kings looking to consolidate some talent at SF or go out and sign an SF and either use the pick on a bigman as a saftey net against Dalembert leaving or to trade it as part of a consolidation move for the SF spot.

As it is now IF we resign Dalembert we can expect Cousins to see a lot of Time at PF as Dally and Cousins looked good on the floor together. And Thompson looked good as the primary back up for both positions.

I really See SF as the only legitimate spot to use our assets. With that being said I think we have to target someone who can spread the floor and be a good defender. I would really like it if we Targeted Granger in a trade.

Would you guys be interested in anything surrounding Bayless + something else for the #7 pick and a contract that you want to rid of? If not, what about Bayless for Casspi or something along those lines. This is all of course assuming Knight and Walker are taken before #7.

The thing is, Bayless won't receive minutes. He will be behind guys like Tyreke, Thornton & Beno. He won't be effective like he was in TO.

I would not be willing to take Bayless based upon an experience I had with him last season. I was able to cover a Portland-Kings game last year and he was the only player I've ever interviewed who big timed me. Gave me three or four word answers on the couple questions I asked him.

I disagree to some extent. While Casspi really regressed last year, I stil feel he has talent to be a good player. However, I doubt that means starting 3 man in this league. I think Ramon would come in a be our starting PG. When he has played as a starter he has put up some great numbers and done it by making his teammates. To me this trade makes a lot of sense if we cant draft a PG or trade/sign a sf. I think Tyreke would be a great SF and this teams starting line up would be pretty stacked with talent and overall be sound on defense.

If his value is thought higher around the NBA, then I would have no problem waiting to see what we could get for him. Just think that Sessions would be a solid add to team and should be the starting PG.

I second the vote to close this thread and go back to individual posts. It's not like this forum has ever been flooded with trade posts. And besides, posts like this will exclude everybody who does not want to exert the effort of reading every single post to find out whether its about a trade proposal or commenting on a trade proposal. That kind of reading is a lot of work and a lot of us are lazy.

Any interest at all in a Bayless + Bargnani for 7 + Garcia, assuming your targeted prospects that the Kings would pick at 7 are off the board?

My thinking in outlining this trade, from the King's perspective is, and let me know if I'm way off, since the Kings want to bring Dalembert back, they'd have enough rebounding and defence to compensate for Bargnani's shortcomings, so that Bargnani can help provide the spacing in the frontcourt that would give Cousins room to operate down low. And it wouldn't just help Cousins, but it would give Evans some gaps to exploit in the paint with one less big down there. I'm not sure if you'd start Bargs or Dally, but a big man rotation of Thompson, Dally, Bargs, and Cousins seems pretty good. At 7, perhaps the Kings look at Biyombo or Tristan Thompson, but if Dalembert can be re-signed, would the need for a defensive energy big be all that paramount?

And then, with Bayless, you get a young 22 yr. old PG somewhat similar to Brandon Knight in that he can shoot it really well, athletic, and has good size (6'3', 200 lbs). Now, Knight may be more of a PG, but I'm assuming Evans will still handle the ball quite a bit, in which case, Knight would be playing off the ball a great deal in non P'n'R situations, right?

For the Raptors - Bargnani has the stigma of the #1 overall pick around him, that despite being a 20 pt scorer, it hasn't been enough to justify that selection (despite it being a weak draft). A change of scenery is needed, and thus, we may be looking to deal him. Bayless is a guy we don't want to give up, but at 5, we may be picking a PG as Knight or Walker are likely BPAs...and we also have PG Calderon's contract hanging over us.

So, that's kind of the logic of this trade. It all depends on whether the Kings value the #7 pick in this draft, or whether they like somebody there moreso than Bargs + Bayless who are young guys with NBA experience.

Not against getting Bayless, but the Kings are not interested in Bargani.
