Which of the teams current roster would you consider generally available for trade and which would you consider generally off limits for trades unless a too good to be true deal came along?

I think Casspi is on the block. He's the only guy we can move that will balance the roster and actually has some decent trade value.

I wouldn't mind trading either Greene or Garcia instead but I just don't see us getting decent value back from those guys.

We should definatly target a defensive big in a trade in case we can't resign Dally.

I think it was a joke to add Salmons before trading either Casspi, Greene or Garcia. While Casspi and Greene are on rookie contracts and will be easier to be traded, now other teams will know that the Kings have a glut of SFs and will offer less than equal value for each one.

Greene is the only guy immediately on the trading block IMO. I value Casspi's 3pt%, rebounding and marketability over anything that Greene gives us. I would be happy to trade Donte Greene just for a pick next year for a shot at Festus Ezeli. Donte has an expiring contract too.

The Kings already picked up the team options on Cousins, Evans and Casspi, I think.

Casspi, Evans and Cousins signed through 2013 with Evans having a qualifying offer for 2014, while Cousins having a team option for 2014 and a qualifying offer for 2015.

As for the trading block, I don't know if we can get anything valuable from trading Donte, but he would be the first one to go in my book. Great guy, but 0 work ethic. Such physical tools and talent and he decides to screw around. A first rounder for next year would be awesome. The 2012 draft will be stacked into the second round.

Casspi is a lot more valuable to big market teams because they would love to tap into the Jewish markets. I love his competitiveness, shooting, and fire, but he wants touches. If he were content in being a bench guy...a fire off the bench, then I would be all for keeping him. But, we just drafted a guy who will gobble more touches in Fredette, as well as drafted a Garcia clone in Honeycutt. Now, whether that means we may be trying to trade Garcia, I don't know, but he is the only guy who knows how to communicate positively with teammates on our team.

Garcia is the only one on the block for me. I just don't think he is someone that we should bother to keep around. I would rather keep Greene and play him as 3 string SF and back up PF and Have casspi back up the SF spot and be the 3rd string SG.

Evans 25/Jimmer 23
Thornton 33/Evans 10/Casspi 5
Salmons 30/ Casspi 15/Greene 3
Cousins 25/Thompson 15/Greene 8
Dalembert 30/ Thompson 10/Cousins 8

This is essentially an 8 man solid rotation with Greene picking up about 11 minutes for the 3rd string forward spots on a good night Greene won't play and on a bad night he will see his minutes increase. This does require us to move Garcia for an end of the bench guy. IT also provides us with the ability to play large and small lineups, lineups specializing in post play or in shooting.

I am really curious to see where Petrie goes from here. Obviously we have to assume at least one of the SFs is on the block. Casspi is probably the most valuable player we have that may be expendable, but he alone probably wouldn't bring much in return via trade.

I have to believe that at this point any trades Petrie is thinking about are more likely to be a package that includes using our capspace, a SF, plus perhaps a pick. Obviously much of it will be influenced by the outcome of the CBA. The issue of soft vs. hard cap and amnesties will play a large role. A lot of possibilities will be open, so I hope he makes the right call.

It's def Casspi.

He practically admitted when summer started he's most likely out of Sac-town, and that he's not really in the coach's plans.. add his value to other teams and he's the guy being shopped.

You think it's a joke to add a defensive starting SF that can shoot the 3? What exactly do you think we're going to get for Casspi, Greene or Garcia? Garcia couldn't be traded for a bag of Fritos, Greene is wildly inconsistent and will more than likely not be extended past his rookie deal and Casspi isn't even close to a starting NBA SF. Salmons is the superior player by a lot and immediately fixes our gaping hole at SF. As for the trade block, everyone not named Tyreke, Demarcus or Jimmer.

Everybody not named Evans, Thornton, Cousins, and Jimmer are readily available for the right deal.

Jason Thompsons is going to be the one you hear about the most this year. He's in the same position as Landry I'd bet. At least the Kings can make him a restricted free agent though.

Dally will be traded in S&T along with Casspi for Josh Smith. I put the same thing on the trade board regarding offers for Casspi. Petrie indicated that there are some things they've discussed that they can't do yet. What can't they do yet? A sign and trade is the answer. They've indicated that they're targeting impact front court players.

The other guy we may be targeting is Paul Millsap. I think that may need to include a 3rd team like the Knicks or Heat, more likely the Knicks because of the Heat's lack of assets. Utah has too many bigs (Jefferson, Millsap, Kanter, Favors, Okur). The Knicks want Dally, Dally apparently exited the Kings last season on a sour note & the Kings want someone to pair with DCuz.

Salmons has never, and will never be known as the "defensive starting SF". Can he play defense? Yes. But I fail to see how he's going to adjust into being the 4th wheel on this team, especially after seeing him play for several years as the go to, or 2nd in command type of player. But I guess we'll see...as long as there's a season

There was a Voison (grain of salt!!) article that stated he was mad to lost his spot in the rotation and stormed off the court after the last game.
