Kings Future

[Mediocrity]

I have never really been on this board, as I am primarily a Raptors fan, but I have always liked the kings as well. I just don't really know what to make of your team. Tyreke had a down year, but I heard he was injured most of the year, so I am willing to give him the benefit of the doubt. Cousins put up close to rookie of the year numbers in only 28 minutes, but on awful efficiency. I am sure his numbers and efficiency will increase, but does anyone worry that he will be a problem in the future? Or are those reports completely overblown? Then you have Marcus Thorton who needs the ball, as well as Jimmer, but I feel Jimmer is a much better fit for Tyreke. Then there is also Hickson, who I think is a bit of a chucker, but he would be great as a sixth man, if his ego could handle that. So what direction do you think your team should go? I think the ideal starting 5 for the future should be:

PG: Evans
SG: Jimmer
SF: Greene
PF: Thompson
C: Cousins
Sixth man: Hickson.

Couldnt agree more... The guard rotation of Tyreks/Jimmer/Thorton is legit...

I would like to add though, that Solmons would start over Greene.. IMO

From the development we have seen from donte and JT I don't think they can be starters on a playoff team which obviously is the ultimate goal. It's true though that neither have really had a coach yet that has given either of them consistent minutes. I think right now tyreke and cousins are the only two who are pretty much for sure possible starters for a playoff team. I like Hickson but he has been playing on a team with no other talent. Thorton is obviously talented enough to be a starter but like @mediocrity said he needs the ball to be effective and who knows how good Jimmer is gonna be.

Bottom line time to get this season started to figure this stuff out.

Thompson the 1st big coming off the bench and Jimmy the 1st "small". Greene is not starting material. I doubt he stays in SAC after his contract expires. I also want Whiteside to develop as at least a nice backup Center. He has the potential.
