This is a knock off of the thread posted by BOOGIE-MONSTER in the Trades and Transactions forum.
With our free agent signings (present and in the future to get to the spending minimum), we have a loaded roster. That also means we will possibly oppurtunities to consolidate multiple pieces into better pieces. In the trades and transactions forum it is noted that these kinds of trades rarely happen, but what would you like to see the Kings do with their extra pieces? Would you rather them get a player or shed them for a draft pick?
Personally, I would like to see them find a way to get a PG who is more of a distributer type. Maybe Luke Ridnour (though I am not crazy about his contract length)? DJ Augustin (For Thompson)?

Ridnour's contract is three years, but at a very reasonable price. I'd definitely go after him.

The question is what it would take to get him. Would you trade JT for him? That would leave us a little thin at C, unless you want JJ or Hayes being the backup center.

I don't think Minny would want to deal Luke. He would be a good mentor for Rubio. What about Kaman? We could throw in some young talent and get a talented big to give us some more size upfront. Not sure what we would be willing to deal but it would be similar to Sammy's deal last year. A center on the final year of deal looking to give his best to try and get one more big contract. Clippers could use some young talent in a three way to land Chris Paul.

I wouldn't give up more than Donte, but I have a suspicion we wouldn't even have to do that. I bet Minny would just take cap space for him.
But as much as I'd like a pure PG on this team, I'm not sure that's what we're really after.

I say we wait to see what the Magic do with Howard, from some indications they would be willing to blow it up once they can get a solid package for Howard. That would mean trimming some salary and for us a chance at Nelson or Redick for our back court.

I'm good without JJ or Nelson. Hopefully Jimmer and Thornton are our outside shooters and Evans becomes a playmaker and primary ballhandler.
