Hate to have to post this but just found this article on twitter
Kings Chuck Hayes dislocates shoulder, out indefinitely
Kurt Helin
Jan 6, 2012, 2:34 AM EST Capping off a tumultuous day for the Kings, forward Chuck Hayes dislocated his left shoulder during the team’s victory over the Bucks.
He will be out indefinitely.
Welcome to the job, Keith Smart.
It was an ugly play. Hayes had his arm extended as he fouled the Bucks Drew Gooden, their arms got locked and the shoulder dislocated. He laid on the ground in pain for several minutes before going back to the locker room.
This is going to put a lot more pressure on J.J. Hickson, who has struggled and is shooting just 36.6 percent this season (going into the game).

I am updating the ifo as this was just provided by bee sportswriter J.Jones
@mr_jasonjonesJason Jones
Kings announce Chuck Hayes is out 3-4 weeks with a dislocated left shoulder
I have no idea why the other writer said out indefinetly if it wasn't true .

Indefinitely just means that he's out for an undetermined amount of time--so at the time, it was true.

I think this is actually a blessing for the Kings. I don't see Chuck Hayes as an answer. If CH were in a place like Boston his value would be higher to that club. Here Hickson and Thompson need more floor time.

Tell that to the team he brought together yesterday without any coaches involved. This is when his value will be known, because if Smart uses Cousins, Evans, and Thornton the right way, having that guy that does the dirty work and doesn't need shots will be sorely missed. The "answer" is named Demarcus Cousins and Hayes is a great fit next to him. Good shot for Hickson but just have to hope he steps it up defensively because the difference between he and Hayes was noticeable to say the least.
I wouldn't be surprised if he comes back sooner than 3-4 weeks, depends on the amount of swelling and whatever may or may not have been damaged. Indefinite sounds right with these kinds of injuries because I've seen guys come back the next day, some don't come back for months. 3-4 weeks seems fair if nothing super bad happened, it really didn't look all that bad but sometimes that doesn't mean anything either.

Agreed. The value Hayes brings might not necessarily show up in the stat sheets. He brings leadership, and a calm, cool head to the otherwise very young and reactionary team that tends to get flustered very easily.

I like Hicksons game, his shots will fall, he does make one or two stupid plays to the game, but the guy plays above the rim on both ends of the floor.

I agree 100% about his value...that value doesn't necessarily translate into more playing time

Hayes playing time? It should, because the more he's on the floor the more guys like Evans and Cousins will have a chance to succeed and maybe it will help Demarcus pick up less fouls too because Hayes can take whatever man is trying to play inside. I can't wait to see Hayes back now that the coach is building his offense the way it should be built, around Evans/Cousins. Hayes ability to pass will open things up for Cousins as well I and I really liked that early play he's gone to with Cousins the last two games setting him up with a double screen as he rolls into the paint. Hayes makes a play like that work.
