why paul westphal don't run a simple pick and roll? thats pathetic if you have a bigman like cousins but never run a simple pick and roll.

Think back to last year, we literally didn't see a completed pick and roll until the end of the season, and that was with a self proclaimed pnr PG in Beno Udrih running the show.

With that said, this team will not be a great pick and roll team. Hickson and JT are your best bets but while Cousins can complete a pick and roll he's probably not going to excel in that set.

Hickson and JT have terrible hands as well, they seem to juggle every other pass.

I always hated how JT passively sets his pick. Once he goes up top and set a pick for Reke or Thornton, the moment those guys make their move, JT falls back. It's very, very irritating to see. The pick isn't even fully formed correctly! The moment Reke or Thornton move their man to JT, dude goes back to his spot.

I seriously think JT (& Hickson) was never taught how important a pick is. When I see guys like Perkins, KG set picks, those guys are literally mobile stone walls and effectively create space for a guy like Rondo to do a lot of things i.e. drive to hoop, pass to pick setter, pick n' pop with pick setter etc etc.

Demarcus could be a great roll player.

He showed it with both Jimmer and Zeke 2.0 running the pick and roll on occasions, and iirc all those times it ended with a bucket (I remember reading he's 8-8 or 7-8)
