Kings @ Wizards

Post#1 » by Sandlot » Thu Feb 23, 2012 12:41 am

This is gross right now. Evans needs to stop playing PG. IT is much better. The defense still looks lazy. Cousins needs to get to the post earlier. He sits 19 ft out almost every play. I don't know if these are coaching problems or player problems but I am so tired of it right now..

Our defense is horrid, hayes/hickson combo is horrid at rebounding....on a good note hayes has been showing his passing skills these past 2 games that everyone was talking about when we signed him.

Looks like the beginning of the Cisco/Hayes connection! Amazing what happens when you have guys cutting to the rim.

Shame too, the duo of Hayes and Cousins was dominating the boards early in the year. With a simple 3 big rotation of Hayes/JT/Cousins this team would dominate the boards for 48 minutes. Although this teams reliance on offensive rebounding isn't a good thing. Becomes a crutch at times and when teams decide to box JT/Cuz out, goodbye production.

I dont mind cuz shooting jumpshots once in awhile but damn he relies on it too much.. He needs to get his butt down low and practice having a jump/half hook...

Our defense has been awful especially on those corner 3's

For a guy that has good touch/hands cuz seems bad at those shots near the basket.. Not sure if he thinks too much about it getting blocked.. He needs to go up strong and less finesse...

Giving 68 points at halftime to a team that avg 91 ppg all season...come on play some damn defense. Jimmer looked confident, started tanking the ball to the hoop pretty strong at times. Tyreke played 24 min in that 1st half.

The Kings have to play defense to win this game. The Wizards are getting easy baskets on us. It's either that or rely on Reke to have a big game in the second half (he has 20 points going into the half) to win.

Cuz is shooting WAY too much jumpers. He needs to plant his butt in the post and abuse McGee.

Good half by reke.... but hes gotta be aware on plays like that last one jimmer was calling for the ball wide open the whole clock and he passes to Cousins too late for a three...

+1. I think there was a post here about trying to acquire him. If this game doesn't put that notion to rest, that poster just likes low IQ ball.

There's truly no reason we shouldn't win this. I'll be very disappointed if we do. Great play from our three guards today.

Hayes once again, KILLING the pick and roll. Every time Crawford or Wall come off that screen Hayes is there waiting.

So good to see Cisco getting some time! His defense and hustle is paying huge dividends right now.
