wow wth. We knew he wanted out but that means no one even wanted him in a trade. I liked Hickson and think he is a good player, just didn't fit within this team. Just wished we could have gotten something out of it.

Good riddance. I used to admire his effort and hustle but when he started acting like a douche in the media I didn't want anything to do with him and his brick hands. I guess in hindsight we were better off trading Casspi for a 2nd.

I don't understand why you would do this...at least give him the qualifying offer and try to get something out of him! He wasn't going to take it...

Hickson wanted out a long time ago. Kings doing him a favor probably.

Pretty much doing him a favor. That trade does look ugly now though. No way can you justify it.

Did we give The Cavs our 2012 1st round pick?

I see the pick is lottery protected this year, but eventually in the next year or two we will lose our pick. Way to go Petrie.

We basically lose our pick whenever we make/get close to the playoffs

True, but at least we don't have to see JJ painfully crammed into games at the expense of the long term picture. Can't believe Petrie couldn't get a 2nd for him. I'm guessing they saved some money in the buyout? Classy in a way, no reason to hang onto him and potentially kill his career.

Lets put it this way, if that pick ends up turning into a 2nd, the last thing on our minds will be this trade.

We'll only lose the pick when we're good enough to not care.

Anyway, it doesn't really matter. It's not like we were going to re-sign him anyway.

Pretty unfortunate we couldn't even get a 2nd rounder out of Hickson at the deadline, but bad trades happen and this was definitely one of them, and its time to move past how bad Hickson was for us and how bad the trade was to get home and hope for some more playing time from the youth.

Guess it would of been nice to get something for him, but whatever I'm just glad he is off the team. The guy is athletic but a terrible basketball player. No hands, dumb as a rock, thinks he can shoot, thinks he is good, lost of defense more often than not. I remember when he couldn't catch that pass at the end of that one game, it would of been an easy layup and a win (or maybe it would of just tied it idk). Instead he bobbled the pass and it went to Greene who missed a long shot. Then it showed Hickson laughing about it right after the game!!! Really? What a freakin douche bag. Ba bye JJ, wont miss you one bit!

JJ Hickson = Addition by subtraction. What a bum. When we made the deal I thought he would easily take the starting PF spot. Then I watched him play and realized what a lazy sack of s#%t he was. Later JJ, see you on my trip to Spain next year.
