He's playing great for POR and just posterized DeAndre Jordan, did he get a chance in Sac?

Not rooting against him and wish him the best but he just never really impressed at all and seemed detached from everything here.

He's playing for a contract... Don't be fooled by his sudden impact.....

I'm the minority here, but I didn't think he got a fair chance at all here. People on this board like to point out a handful of mistakes he made, but if you scrutinize JT or Hayes, you'll find bigger blunders, especially with that D-Leaguer Hayes who most people on this board inexplicably worship. We didn't run plays for JJ, didn't let him play through mistakes, and most of the time, just didn't play him. The hate for him here is absolutely unwarranted. I saw what he did in Cleveland last year and was ecstatic when we got him. Unfortunately, it was just too crowded with Cousins, Thompson, and Hayes, each of whom the coaches favored over JJ from the get go. It wasn't right. I'd rather have JJ here than useless Hayes.

Sacramento and Hickson were not a good fit. The only thing I hated him for was his hands but I thought he should have had more chances.

He just went 29/13 against one of the best front courts in the league.
He averaged 18 pts and 11 reb per 40 min when not in Sacramento.
Cousins is the better player (though a head case) and you couldn't keep both but the Kings could have gotten something for him rather than waive him. Dumb management IMO.

It' so ironic in the NBA how a change of scenery can sometimes make so much diffference. Hickson has been playin great, not just scoring wise, when he does not have a good shot he's made some excellent passes, so far his "hands" look very good. Now I know better then to get too excited after 3 games but so far he's the kind of "big" POR badly needed. My guess is he is back with us next year.

All of us knew he's better then what he showed for us.
But in the situation we're at he just couldn't show that he's not a scrub - he's not a world beater either, but everyone knew he's quite a better player then he showed.
Sucks to loose him for free, but i'm still glad he's not with us...if we'd get ANYTHING for him we'd do the trade, so apperently we had no other options.

Dude, seriously. Blake Griffins defence is pure comedy. thier PNR defence was so bad last night, and DeAndre Jordan is arguebly the most overrated defender in the league.
They are not by any stretch of the imagination one of the best frontcourt in the league - quite the opposit.

Wait a minute, this wasn't supposed to happen right? Playing time? production? Nah.

He's not a scrub people. he also put almost 20 and 10 post allstar break last year.. that does not happen by fluke.
We just misused him when he played or hardly played him at all - and he on his part dogged it quite alot and just throw a turnaround jumper practically everytime he caught the ball (if he managed to do that).
I'm not sad about him as a player - we couldn't give him the touchs he needs to showcase himself, and our roster didn't compliment the playstyle he needs in order to shine - and his flaws (and he got quite alot of them) would be highlighted more then his strengths.
It was just a bad move by Petrie to get him in the first place cause he was a horrible fit to begin with for us, but that's where it ends. i'm glad we got rid of him.

Just hope he remembers to send a thank you card when some idiot GM overlays him.

he continues to play very solid and smart ball with us, I also ponder the old "contract yr" scenario, he also is fitting well with Aldridge, be interesting what POR does and how much he would want.

JJ is a decent player. We just had him buried here in Sac. Add in a point guardless team when he played equals uneven performances. Good for him.
