Man I thought we were moving on...the Maloofs strike again.

They are clearly upset that they have to put up 3.25mil in up front costs.

Salmons should donate 3.25 mil for stealing their money!

haha classic.

I am hearing that Stern is basically saying the Maloofs can back out, and it is up the the kings and the city now. The league is basically backing down.

The NBA was going to finance this deal for the Maloofs...And they still backed out. The Maloofs are who we thought they were. They are trying to play the city of SAC.

NBA Commissioner Stern: "Maybe we were over-optimistic" during Orlando meeting with Maloofs.

Yeah because the NBA was going to help them out. The Maloofs agreed to the deal. Should't have agreed if wasn't all in.

Something fishy is going on here.

Stern could say what he wants. In coded language has said this was a good deal for everyone but Maloofs pulled the plug

And no I'm not a crazy Sac fan. I actually live in Florida. But still....

The Maloofs must be broke. Only explanation. They are not going to agree with a deal where they have to pay ANY money. Since that is the case. Sell it to someone who wants to keep it in Sac and have the money. They shouldn't own a team if they are broke.

Brian May asked Stern, "Fans are scared that since the Arena deal is not going forward as planned, that the Kings may relocate. Are you confident that the Kings will not relocate?"

Stern: "All I can say is that the Kings are scheduled to play at PBP next season, beyond that, I cannot say."

OH GOD....I THOUGHT THIS WAS OVER WITH!?!?!

I don't like your sarcasm.... j/k

In all seriousness it's hard to care about NBA basketball when your team is not good AND you don't have the ability to see a good product. I go to a lot of games and we are a young, dumb team. It's just not easy to support anymore given the nature of their bad negotiations.

I believe the issues are pre development cost and so others not talked about.

In George's statement to the press, "Joe and Gavin have put a good product on the court this season, along with a good coach." WTF....does he watch these Kings' games? Has he seen we are in the bottom 5 of the league consistently for the past 6 years?

And by the way, George is a terrible speaker and has a difficult time articulating his point...he had to be rescued a few times by his attorneys. It was like watching a first-time Speech student, make a speech in front of a large audience.

Ron Burkle> Maloofs
Even if they do decide to stay. They won't have any money to spend on quality players. So leave!

A "term sheet" was in place and seven weeks later, the Maloofs decide it's crap.

KJ will not budge and make anymore concessions.

Stern in his ultra deliberate subtle way expressed his dissatisfaction with the Maloofs, but there's not a whole lot he can do about it and is forced to have their back.

If the Maloofs aren't broke, the truths revealed about today sure are interesting.

They want to renovate Arco now?! Whoa.... this is looking very, very fishy.

Maybe they think this is the part of the movie where all the towns people show up on the front lawn of PBP with tools and supplies and join in to help rebuild the arena. hahaha.

After witnessing the resources and time the NBA put into keeping the Hornets in New Orleans how can this still be the sentiment?

Why doesn't the City of Sacramento ask for the NBA to purchase the Kings until an new owner can be found? Why doesn't Sacramento demand the same consideration and effort that the City of New Orleans received?
