Isiah Thomas
Just wanted to know what you guys think about this guy and if he could be another builiding block at point guard. I mean, is this a guy that is going to be a lifetime reserve on a competitive Kings team in the future or a guy that can keep improving and become a very good starting point guard on a playoff team? This is just the guys first year and he's already been more efficient then most of our players that have been there for several years and that horrible excuse for a lottery pick that they call Jimmer. Personally, I feel that his court vision is just going to get better each year and if our players could sink a shot he could be averaging 6-7 assists per game....and thats in his first season. Personally, I feel that this guy is only going to get better. He has the passion and desire to get better so who's to say this guy couldn't put up a very efficient statline of somewhere from 14-17 ppg and 6-9 apg. I don't know how that couldn't lead to more victorys next season with the scoring we are bound to have with Thornton, Reke, and Boogie. As long as this guy can take his second season to become even more of a leader and command respect and demand that everyone buy into the system we could see a signifigant improvement next year, but I'm an optimist. Right now, I believe that staying pat at the point guard position with Zeke is the best thing to do due to the respect these guys have for him it would be even better with given time instead of bringing in another point guard who these young guys might not respect. That's the problem with a young team like ours, we don't have veterans who are mature enough to command respect and attention so why not let these guys just improve and grow together? To be honest, if you look at our roster we have a ton of talent, its just like Coach Smart has said its a matter of learning how to play with eachother; learning each others strengths and weaknesses. The wins will come eventually but my question is do you think that Isiah Thomas is our guy at point guard for the future or just nothing more then a spark off the bench? Discuss.

Have no idea. Don't know if he'll ever average those number, nor should he attempt to average those numbers on this team. He's been such a good fit mainly because he's that corner 3 guy who can hit a quick spot shot in a pinch. Could maybe be more than that but that's what this team needs.

5'9'' is 5'9''
Unless, we have a team that can afford starting IT or IT somehow acquired skill(s) to justify his starter position, I think he should be coming off the bench if we are looking into being a legitimate team soon.

Next season i would really like to see T-Will as a starting PG, and Evans as SG, either sign or draft a SF, SIgn or draft a PF and Cousins at C. Thorton and Isiah coming off the bench. Im fine with either Evans or Thornton coming of the bench and playing the Ginobli aka Harden role.

Can't roll with TWill and Reke as your main wings. They play unbelievable defense but we all saw the other night what happens when a team dares them to shoot. Twill and Thornton make an interesting combo however. With TWills unselfish style and Thorntons ability to move off the ball you're making magic.

Isiah is an scoring backup NBAer. Just not here with Jimmer and Thornton.
Reke was his rookie year because he matched up well with all the PGs. He worked DWill and other physically dominant PGs. He does need shooters to spread the floor right now. But so did Jason Kidd at this point in his career.
Total mistake to move him from PG taking his dominant competitive instincts from him.
Who knows what the Maloofs want today? It will change by the next day.

I like Thomas, but he size is going to limited him. Watching him trying to defend Cook the other night wasn't pretty. Jimmer & Thomas will always struggle defensively & both are shoot first guards.
