So....

5th pick
Jimmer

for

16th pick
Lowry

That's currently my preference. Discuss your own.

my current preference to draft MKG still (praying he falls, but doubtful) or trade it for a piece that will potentially put us in the playoffs next season. If that means trading it for Lowry and 16, so be it

Honestly I see no possible way MKG is there, but if he is, I'm all over him in a second. If not either Drummond, Barnes, or trade.

No way to the Lowry deal. Lowry might be the most overrated trading chip on Real GM.

At 5 in order I like:

Drummond
Barnes
Terrence Jones
Sullinger

Go for Barnes or Drummond, whichever is on the board, or make a deal down for Henson unless he rises up the charts, which I can see happening.

If there is a deal for someone like Lowry it needs to be Tyreke headed out the door, not the pick.

Just have to really hope Jerry Reynolds opinion of Lowry doesn't permeate anyone else' head in the front office, he was trying to sell Lowry as being every bit as good as Deron Williams. :o

If it's MKG waiting there, they need to look at trade options if his value is still high to the lower teams. A lot like sticking a square peg in a round hole. He could be a good defender but his main asset is his potential to create off the dribble, how would he ever have the chance to show that here?

I like Lowry and would contemplate a deal between him and the #5 but I just don't like how small the backcourt will be, especially the PG rotation with Isaiah and him.

For the draft, I like Drummond. If he falls, I pick him up in a heart beat.

Barnes is another player I would draft if he's available too. Not really a good fit for us but he's the BPA for SF at that range.

I do not have the confidence in GP to make a good draft day trade. With that being said I'd like us to stay at 5 and take either Robinson or Drummond (whichever is there).

Drummond's athleticism intrigues me. I know the Kings do not need young players but he would be a nice fit playing next to Cousins. Drummond's is essentially an unselfish big who's strength's are Cousins weaknesses. As for Robinson he is athletic, something we need.

Outside of the Davis I really want MKG. But we all know he will be long gone, so.....

Lowry is a good player but he belongs on a team of veterans. I see potential drama with Lowry on a young team.

#5 and Garcia for Deng. Then go after Kenyon Martin in free agency.

IT/Jimmer
Tyreke/Thornton
Deng/Williams
Martin/Thomspon
Cousins/Hayes

Seems realistic enough.

Also I think Robinson is a horrible fit next to DMC. We already tried players like him with Landry and Hickson (6'8-'6'9ish energy guys with suspect jumpers and defense).

Not when you stop and remember older players are chasing that ring. There will be NO ring in Sac next year. So no Martin in FA. Deng is still a possibility, however I don't like it. I don't see Deng as a guy who can teach these young bucks how to play as a team. If I was the GM and had decided on trading the pick, I target a player who has the ability to change the culture ON the court.

How so? He's perfect. He'll even not demand to have the ball in his hands because with Tyreke, Thornton, Thomas, and Cousins he'd have a hard time getting it anyway. He cuts well off the ball, he understands how to open the floor with spacing, and he's one of the most pure SF's to come along in the last decade. The days of every team salivating at the thought of a Point-F are coming to an end because just too many of them have become a liability for their teams. Perry Jones will most likely send the final nail into that coffin. Depending on where he's picked of course.

Robinson is a vastly better rebounder than either guys combined. And I think you are underselling his defense. From what I've seen, he's a fine defender. Dude can move his feet laterally and use his strength to get guys off the block. Solid at switching on P&Rs. Weak on jump shots but have a decent face up game with his good ball handling abilities for his size.

I like him. He's an intriguing fit with Cousins. He's kinda like Blake Griffin-lite but with defense.

The difference is Robinson isn't solely an iso scoring type like they are. He's a smart player who is a terrific passer and understands the nuances of the game. He wouldn't "get in the way" like they did at times. Not the best fit on paper but you never know.
