Assuming we don't trade, hell yea. Cousins and Robinson are going to **** on the whole league.

Personally i hate the pick. i don't like the idea of putting David west next to cousins. We need defense not aother offensive option..

Yeah, considering he was projected to go 2 or 3 for awhile I am pretty happy. Not the perfect fit, but our big man rotation is getting beastly.

You lucked out, this is a good fit for you. T.Rob is like another Kmart, not bad value for the 5th pick. Doesn't sound like T-Rob is so happy about it though...

Like the player, don't like the fit. Need to move some clutter otherwise somebody is going to have to take a step back in the offensive. If you have TRob averaging JT's numbers per minute because that's his role, you're losing value.
Petrie has to start making some calls right now, and taking all the ones he can get. This could be his opportunity to make a major splash either with Tyreke or TRob.

His rebounding is going to be incredibly useful though. Our bench rebounding was abysmal with Chuck and one of our small forwards playing power forward. Too much value in Robinson to take anyone else imo. Hopefully Petrie can add some defense soon though.

He is already better than JT in most area's and will only get better. Given our options I love the pick.

Re: Thomas Robinson...like the pick?
Rebounding wasn't going to be an issue with this team regardless. TRob is not Davis West though longfellow, he's more like a poor mans Blake Griffin with better defensive fundamentals. I know people won't like it, but he's a bit like Carl Landry if Carl Landry didn't rebound like a SG.

T-Rob isn't near comparable to West.
Robinson has a massive advantage in lateral and foot speed and is super strong for his size over West. Above the rim player and is a tenacious rebounder, defensively.
T-Rob is a fine defender.

Like the pick? I can understand why you do it, but it's now time to see what Petrie is made of, he can't sit on his hands this time if the fit is bad and one of his core or TRob suffers.

I love it. I do not know how you don't. He might not be a shotblocker but he is a top notch post defender. Shotbloocking is a great but it is not the end all of everything on the defensive end. If we can actually put a good team defense together, we should be fine

Prime West was a really smart player, with a good offensive game. T-Rob is closer to K-Mart, in that he's got athleticism, but isn't really a gun offensive player at this juncture.

I agree, but it's a particular weakness for this team because of the talent they have on it already, I think it's time to start complimenting the talent you do have rather than adding to the things they are on the team to provide already. If last year showed anything, it's that rebounding is important, but that better not be your calling card, look for a team that specialized in offensive rebounding and I'll show a team that never even sniffed a ring. This draft had two options at PF that can not only provide needed skills, but play the pick and roll defensively. Talent wise Robinson is clearly above all the other frontcourt options in this draft, the question is, how hard up were the Kings for talent? Look at last year, those who ignore history are doomed to repeat it.
Robinson isn't horrible as a pick and roll defender but I've watched more than enough scouting vids to know he's nowhere near the level of the other options. Pick and roll defense is going to be key for any team wanting to win at the highest level.

The point is to get better at every position. Yes we are good rebounding team and yes Robinson best quality is probably his rebounding but that does not mean we did not get better as a whole. T-Rob will probably be better than any other big on our roster besides Cousins. He will probably be a high caliber starting PF. Thompson is not starting quality PF. Hopefully we got an upgrade, which we need at every position besides center to compete.
We made out great

Re: Thomas Robinson...like the pick?
If this is our pick we have to make a move asap to get ride of the log jam in the front court. we also need a real pg and we need a real sf opting. i just don't understand how you can ignore all of that and still make this pick.

I like the pick but hope to see us make additional moves and see us consolidate our "talent."
