Sources confirm RFA Ryan Anderson visited the Kings today

Can he play sf? He played pf with orlando

As a Magic fan i can guarantee that this guy has no chance playing other position than PF. He's too slow and lacks athletisicm for a SF spot and is too soft to play as a center.
Ryan can shoot the 3's very well and sometimes he rebounds pretty well. His defense isn't good and he disapppeared in the playoff series against Indy.
If the opponent team pays attention to him, Ryan can be shut down pretty easily, so he becomes just a spacer, because other team can't help off of him. By the way, most NBA SF's can guard this guy, because Ryan can't take any advantage of that and he seems to struggle against players who are quick and more accustomed to defending the 3 point shooters.
All in all, he could be a useful guy off the bench for you, to create some space for DMC down low, but he has a lot of flaws in his game.

The Kings' biggest weakness by far is defence and we go out and try and sign a PF to play SF who has trouble guarding PFs let alone SFs.

Are we trying to re-invent Peja?! At least Peja was a solid man on man defender on the perimeter.

Anderson's shooting would be welcome addition and would make life a lot easier for Cousins and Evans but it would make us even worse defensively. If that is even possible.

I'd anticipate that Anderson would actually start at PF for us. I'm thrilled with the T-Rob pick, but he hasn't earned any minutes yet, whereas Anderson is a proven commodity. I don't see anything wrong with adding talent where we can, especially since we haven't yet identified any good SF fits that we have any likelihood of obtaining other than D. Wright and AK47.

I would love to pick Ryan Anderson up. You can say position he doesn't he fit, but again the key is when you are as bad team as we were last year is to just get better players.

I wouldn't mind Anderson, but I would not want him starting over Robinson. I think he would give us a nice spark off the bench, whether it would be playing the 4 or the 3 (which i really wouldn't be a fan of).

Hard to see the Kings justifying the money to bring him off the bench, and he probably wouldn't be keen if he started last year.

He is however the best option available out there. I think Batum would have been a perfect fit, sliding Thornton to a 6th man role...

He can shoot, but he's not very athletic. Defensively he would hurt us. No way the Maloofs spend money on him. The Kings will not spend over the min.

He's a Hornet not a King. No surprise.
