Kings- Moving Foward

Although we may not be a playoff contending team, I see a lot of upside for us.

I really like PatrickP for this team. He has shown that he can be a team player and that he has a high IQ for the game. Hopefully next year he can be our undisputed starting PF along side DMC.

We all know DMC has upside and a lot of talent. His locker room presence and constant cry baby attitude is a hindrance to our team. With that being said, I hope for the best and hope that he can work and stay with this team.

Tyreke Evans needs to be resigned. He is truly growing as a player. He may not be the most outspoken guy but he seems to really want to learn and progress as player. Post all-star break he has been shooting much better and his play making has been on point. Bottom line is, he needs to be resigned and our starting 2guard.

Small Foward needs to be addressed. Bringing JJ to the team had upside but I guess he never panned out. John Salmons is John Salmons and I do not need to say anything about Travis Outlaw. Maybe we can look to get a SF out of the draft.

As far as our PG, I am happy with IT and Tony Douglas. They seem to bring what we need during any given game. High offense and pesky defense or great on ball defense with smart decision making. Unless we can get a legit starting PG, I do not think we need to make a change.

Our bench will hopefully grow once we solidify our starting lineup. Cole has been a good surprise, and with PP being a starter, JT can either be moved or take a backup role. We need a lengthy, spot up wing player. Maybe we can move Marcus Throrton or Jimmer (we have congestion at our guard spot) for a wing.

Thanks for the read and I appreciate any additional thoughts!

Would love to land Otto Porter Jr from Georgetown to becoming our starting SF. Also a huge fan of Oladipo from Indiana but not sure he's tall enough to play SF. Either way i think with a new coach, and an offseason to work with Patterson and Douglas will allow our current guys to mesh better with the new comers. There's no question we have played better since the trade. Also I think we need a shot blocker off the bench. Wouldn't mind packaging JT/Jimmer to get one. Not sure who might be avail in free agency

This team has fooled me for a couple of years now, they usually play well near the end of the year and get our hopes up for the coming season... I don't expect much from this team unless they make big good moves or just good moves from management down to players..and please at least get a capable coach for this team...

Not really high on the talent in this draft but there are some nice players that could fill a role. Obviously if Noel comes out he'd be a no brainer, hate to say it but hopefully his knee drops him down to the Kings area if he comes out, which I think he will.

This summer the Kings have to keep both Aldrich and Douglas, I think they've more than earned a spot. Patterson as of now needs to be the starting PF for this team moving forward. No doubt he and Cousins need to be getting more time together.

OT - How disappointing is it that this is the year we could have went .500 and made the playoffs in the West. Ugh.

I don't think anybody wants to give the Maloofs the pleasure.
