Selected by Sacramento as an undergraduate out of Memphis with the fourth overall pick of the 2009 NBA Draft, Evans was named the 2009-10 NBA Rookie of the Year after averaging a team-leading 20.1 ppg (.458 FG%, .255 3pt%, .748 FT%), 5.3 rpg, a team-best 5.8 apg, 1.51 spg, and 37.2 mpg in starting all 72 games in which he played. Just have to hope this new crew doesn't follow the same pitfalls the previous regime did last year with JT. Don't go out and draft a player like say, Oladipo and then overpay without making any other real moves to accommodate the situation.

Well Tyreke Evans is flirting with the Pelicans. While no money has been discussed they are saying he could get up to $11m per.

I don't know why the actual tweet isn't loading but basically Evans says he's not going anywhere to be a 3. With Jrue Holiday in the fold and the Pelicans owing Eric Gordon $45m for the next three years this is looking more like Evans shopping? I don't think we would be interested in Eric Gordon for his contract in a S&T?

That lineup would put Evans as the 3. Evans hates playing the 3. He wouldnt be happy with that.

No he can play SF. His size and strength advantages are no longer superior at SF. Kings played him at SF and he hated it, he likes to have the ball in his hands as a playmaker. Evans most likely will not sign with any team who's plans for him include SF

That's not just speculation. Reports are coming out that he's not going anywhere where he plays at SF, no matter the price.

Iggy is taller, same basic length, but he's worlds beyond Tryeke in athletic ability. Reke is mostly a below the rim player, Iggy is not. Iggy can hang with the LeBrons of the world, Reke can't.

Both Iggy and Reke meetings are happening in LA. Wonder which happens first?

@News10Sean: Source says in addition to meeting with Kings, Tyreke Evans will meet with the Detroit Pistons. Pelicans have offer in to Evans
Wonder when we will find out their offer

You'd think someone in Evans camp would leak the offer if it is in fact "a big one". Sets the market for him.

Tyreke meeting should be first.

Tyreke wants to meet with Detroit first. Then Kings. So we go third.

I am confident he is going to get offered an average of 12-15 per season . I am not so sure I would pay him that . Would rather sign & trade him for young talent , picks etc.

Its really sad when you think about it because Evans still has a chance to be one of the elite two-way players in this league. Can't let him walk for nothing. But at the same time low bball IQ and no jumper does not equal 12-15mil/season

To be fair, his jumper has improved.

I'm still going to stick to my 11 mil prediction.
And I keep him at that price.
