Kings vs Lakers: preaseason

Post#1 » by ADoaN17 » Thu Oct 10, 2013 5:55 pm

No Landry or Vasquez tonight and the starting lineup will be different the one from Monday.

Hopefully Cousins actually takes the ball into the post against Gasol/Kaman instead of taking jumper.s

Thomas
Jimmer
Outlaw
Patterson
Cousins

Let's see if Jimmer or Outlaw can show anything.

I know it's just preseason, but if I ever see that starting lineup again I'm going to puke.

Lol I know right. All in all though, we look like a team finally. I don't know if I'm just excited or not, but I see less one and one, more ball movement, better D, and much better spacing.

Ray Mac has some shakes. Looks like he's gonna break some ankles if you get too close.

Now they're starting to use Cousins to his strengths. A lot more cutters for him to find. Took and hit some solid set jumpers too.

trying to best not get geeked up, but man we got the best draft picks in the entire draft. These two guys are the future. It's going to be hard keep McCallum off the court. B-Mac jumper looking like water!

Yeah, a little gimmicky but Jimmer had it going for sure. Just too many guards and PF's on this team. If Ben keeps playing like this that SG spot is his from day 1 though. Looking like mini Ray Allen or Reggie Miller coming off those screens. JT set a couple of great screens for him and Ben is just insanely fast coming off of them.

McCallum is the only legit PG defender the Kings have had since Ronnie Price.

Have to agree with you there. He's got the size and athleticism to be a pretty good defender. He's been all over Blake. He's going to go through school against the Roses, Westbrooks, and Parkers of this world, but hey we all got learn. All part of the game.

Patterson not hitting his shots but you're seeing the potential with he and Cuz out there. Cuz has gotten him several good looks.

I fool with IT but man I can't wait to Vasquez out there. IT dribbles way too much, and is a great spark plug off the bench type of PG. B-Mac had at least two alley-oop opportunities but IT was overdribbling. I know Vasquez would have served that up properly. All these guys better watch out for McCallum though.

Cousins is still taking more jump shots than going in the post. Stat wise he looked good but those jump shots are never consistent for him.

McLemore shot is great, obviously he still needs to work on his dribbling but at least this team has a legit spot up shooter now.

McCallum looks good but his decision making on the fast break could use some work. Last two games he has gotten fouled/block on fast breaks where he could of gave the ball up instead.

Jimmer played SG/PG well and had some nice passes. He was more active on defense with deflections but he is still too slow to guard 1v1.

Gotta give Outlaw some credit too, he played well at the end of the last season and so far in preseason. It's sad but he may be the best SF.

PF/SF is still up for grabs.

Those shots for Cousins were good shots. They were in control and within the flow of the offense spot shots. Cousins, a lot like McLemore, is the type of player that if you can put in a few plays that get him an easy basket or two early on he's going to have a great chance of getting red hot and just flat out dominating teams. They did some of that tonight which was really good to see.

Got a chance to get a look at McLemore tonight he's going to be a good player, his jumper is impressive
