So far the whole "becoming a defensive team thing" needs a lot of work.

We've gone to cuz in the post once (partly Cuzs fault). And our d has been terrible at times. Lucky to be only down 5.

Thornton has been leaving Matthews wide open at 3 multiple times already.

Would like to see Vasquez play with McLemore a little bit. GV, MT, BM, PP, DMC.
There isn't a whole lot of energy on D in the 1st half either

I don't think I saw McLemore at all in that second quarter. What happened? Is he injured?
He played the last couple of minutes in the first quarter. The last play he did (iirc) is where he tried to chase down the loose rebound but lost it.

Ball movement has been solid so far.

McClemore is already a better defender than MT. The clock is ticking on that starting spot. I

Two missed assists for cousins. Teammates missing.

Before it felt like we should be down more. Now it feels like we should be closer. Doing things right.

Damn, Malone yanked McLemore quickly there. Why not let McLemore finish the quarter?

Feel bad for cuz. He's doing a lot right, and his teammates are sucking.

Portland is just more talented. Aldridge was hitting tough shot after tough shot, and there's not a whole lot you can do about it.
The only thing that had me scratching my head was how little time B-Mac got.

Yeah, Portland is good and talented, and I wouldn't be shocked at all to see them as a playoff team. But this game was winnable. We missed a lot of shots and they were the beneficiaries of a lot of broken plays. The score may not look like it but this game was a handful of plays from going the other way.
Our biggest problem in general so far has been Thornton, Patterson, and our continuing hole at SF. If Thornton and Patterson start scoring like we know they can, this becomes a totally different team.

Hey, if bmac Develops this year and you land a Wiggins, parker or Randle, you could have a pretty good team next year. See you guys tomorrow!

I don't know how much of a bandwagon he had, but he's absolutely a better player than he has showed so far this year. Not fair to judge him on that at all.
