87-81 Kings after 3.

Thomas has 4 threes, 8 assists, 0 turnovers. Cousins and Gay both have 20+ shooting 50%. The defense has been great. They are really annoying the Spurs. Let's see if they can hold on for 12 more minutes.

Love that smooth "drive and pull up" from Rudy.

Thompson is useless.

Well, out-executed in the clutch. That's the game.

Scratching my head why JT was out there instead of D-Will

watching thompson out there is frustrating!

Could not get it done on the defensive end in the final 4-5 minutes. Transition D led to lay ups or open 3s. Rotations slow to shooters. Gave up a couple of offensive rebounds. A great effort and a chance at a great win (and even better 2 game stretch) reduced to a great effort and the same result. Overall, I was pleased. The Spurs really tightened up on D and the kings were on their heels.

Yeah, this team needs to find the right SG and PF for this team. JT did alright in this one but like with McLemore, probably better to find the right type of player that fills your needs.

If this team can't trade for the right SG maybe they should look at Terrance Williams. McLemore is way beyond him as a talent but if you're going to have a 4 shot per game SG, might as well get one that doesn't have to learn to play D first. Could probably use Bens scoring off the bench too. That and backup PG are major holes right now.

JT rebounded well tonight and I suspect that's why he was in instead of DWill at the end, but he gives me so many headaches, I swear.

Really could go with a 4 or 5 to replace JT. Cuz can play both, so we should have some options out there.

I'm pleased with Cuz in having become a consistent 20-10 beast. The addition of Gay is also helping with the scoring load. However there is a HUGE drop off in contribution after Demarcus, Rudy and Isaiah. I was hoping that DWill and McLemore would be able to add something but their contributions are so inconsistent.

Ben has been terrible... Some thought he would garner ROY consideration this year...

Yeah the defense wasn't great! The Kings played entertaining ball last night, and it was fun to watch. Giving up 27 per quarter means the other team is scoring the ball just fine though.

I would really like to see DWill get major minutes and time with the starters. I don't know if he'll fit any better but it's worth a shot just to see. It's hard to take a player like Ben McLemore and ask him to basically be the most un-rookie type of role playing defensive spot shooter. That's what they need and are trying to turn him into. Just not his game right now. Might even stunt his growth as a player.

How can you really expect him to succeed in that way with the role he has? It's like with Hickson, oh he was just a terrible player right? Wrong, better situation/minutes and he returns. Ben is raw on top of being a rookie, but you can't get ROY being a wing defending role player and you will look terrible when that isn't even your game to begin with.

I'm talking about sports writers on major sites that had him in contention for that award

I never personally expected it because he was indeed very raw leading up to the season. He has however not looked good so far.

Ben was horrid on defense....play after play dudes were burning threes in his face

I need this guy to be more aggressive!!! He's not even hitting those shots with any consistency!

technically, if they were in his face then he was playing good defense, they just happened to hit them in his face.

Technically nothing!! In his face meaning those guys pulled up for the shot while he was in no mans land then with a two second delay he tried to contest the shot. Hence clearly he was on playing ANY defense. "Just happened to hit them" would indicate that he was all over them and they just hit a lucky shot -- that's all I'm saying.

I was speaking more so about the overall perception of him. It's not a coincidence that when he's looked "good", he was taking more than 3 shots in the game.
