I wonder if cuzs ankle was worse than they let on, how is a day to day injury keeping you out for 4 games so far? Or maybe we want to tank a little and make sure he's completely healthy ...hmmmm..

It sure looked bad when it happened. I mean he couldn't put any weight on it initially.

I agree but I don't get why they said "day to day" then. I figured it was going to be like a 2 week recovery, which it might be, but it clearly wasn't a day to day injury like Rudy had.

Guess maybe they had a loose definition of it?

It was day to day, he just made it worse.
On his sprained left ankle: "I’ve never had one this bad and it’s extremely frustrating. I kind of irritated it more by trying to rush myself to come back faster than I should have so that kind of slowed down the process. The swelling has gone down, now it’s a process of dealing with the pain. That’s what we’re going through."

Interesting that Cuz would feel the need to quickly come back in a season where losses don't hurt us. Shows his desire to play

I'm with you brother.. the subject is taboo, but when you are the worst team in a conference past the half way point of a season and what many consider the best draft class in a decade looms, I admit the fact that it don't hurt me when we lose. I don't advocate the organization or the players have a losing mentality, but by the same token there shouldn't be super urgency to win - i.e having Cousins rushed back or not playing our young players.
