Kings @ Celtics 2/7
No Gay or Thornton for us, and no Rondo or Bradley for the Celtics. Essentially the Cousins and Green show tonight with some Isaiah Thomas sprinkled on top.

Sullinger clearly too slow for Cuz. Can't bail him out by shooting jumpers.

Our offense is fragile without IT and Cuz. Can't afford to keep getting outworked on the boards like this.

Need more from Cuz too. Not in terms of scoring, but we're getting worked on the boards, and he's looking lazy.

Fragile is a very nice way of putting it. We're down single digits but it has felt like a blowout almost the whole game.

Re: Kings @ Celtics 2/7
Yeah, they looked dead in that game. I'm surprised Cuz and IT were able to keep them in it as long as they did.
Why is Landry even here? They do understand that Landry is there to provide scoring for a team right? Since he's come back he's rarely a part of the offense. Unless he's used in the pick and roll as a screener of course. Saw Cousins scored out of the pnr. I don't know if anyone else has noticed this, but are you typically surprised like I am when the Kings pick and roll actually leads to a direct basket? With Gay out the pick and roll is almost useless and even when he's in it's nothing to write home about.

Landry was a joke of a signing in the first place. It's almost like they signed him just to spend the $$$. Gonna be the worst FA for us since mikki mooreSacKingZZZ wrote:Yeah, they looked dead in that game. I'm surprised Cuz and IT were able to keep them in it as long as they did.

Im a big DMC supporter but I have to question how Cuz let a fatter, slower, shorter Sullinger put up those numbers. Where is the pride?

Landry is still in preseason form after only receiving preseason minutes so far. Im not so quick to judge him just yet.

Re: Kings @ Celtics 2/7
The biggest problem with this team is an overwhelming lack of defensive awareness. Ideally, this is something you can teach and instill, but not necessarily if you've got players with low BB IQs. Which brings up probably the next biggest problem, the lack of depth on this team. Other than our big three, we cannot count on anyone to help with the scoring load. The third and related problem is IT. Although we rely on his scoring to give us decent offense, he needs a huge volume of shots just to get his numbers. Though we put up a decent score at the end of games (above average offensive rating for the league) our scoring percentage is regularly in the 30-40% range. Outside of cuz and gay, there's no one on the team averaging greater than 45% shooting on more than 5 shot attempts per game.

ITs efficiency has not resembled what it was earlier in the season for awhile now.. At first the fact Cuz was out made some sense, but he is consistently missing shots he made earlier in the season. Was he hot when his efficiency was gangbusters earlier?

After the game I think Cuz said his mind was not fully on the game but getting snubbed from the all star team, I hope that is it.

fully agree, and the majority of fans knew this before he officially signed

I don't have a problem with Landry as a player at all. He's borderline elite as an iso scoring PF, but that's ALL HE DOES! My problem is, in a game where everyone seems like they can't hit the broad side of a barn, he gets 1 shot? I thought there might be a lack of personnel knowledge when Malone said he can play center upon his signing. Malone is a good coach, and so far seems to know his personnel, but if Landry isn't going to score, why is he here?
