Good start so far, helped by Detroit looking just awful.

OK, Malone IS a good coach, and he appears to be getting it. Put Evans next to Cuz and they aren't running a ton of pick and roll but when they do it's pick and pop with Cuz and they are running the old Mike Bibby duck behind the screen for the shot with IT. The one full pick and roll they ran was a turnover, haha. Very nice overall.
Now, when the Pistons go big they need to play zone.

The player I probably dislike the most on the team.
Starting Reggie is an interesting wrinkle.
I'd still like more impact on the game from Cuz, but I hold him to high standards

Odd play, Cuz had position and did not really block out Drummond, he should have moved him back.
Dre gets the ball and Cuz takes a charge.

Cousins isn't doing much in terms of scoring but he's certainly made a defensive impact. Hopefully Cousins is realizing he can block shots if he wants to. He's also been robbed of a few assists, there was a nice backdoor to Gay who missed the layup.

Lazy and impatient offense is making Detroit's usually poor D look great.

Also just missing good shots. Have to think the latter is symptomatic of the former though.

I feared before this game that with the way we've been playing, on a back-to-back in Philly tomorrow we could be the team to threaten their losing record. Hopefully we improve our play tonight starting now

Considering Cuz and Gay are a combined 9 for 30, it's amazing we're only down 7. Going to need one of them to get going for a chance to win, and both for a good chance.

And there is goes. This team has to find a consistent offense. Continue with what works, ditch what doesn't.

We need this loss, the difference between the fourth worst and 7th worst is a single game.

Probably why Outlaw is playing over McCallum...

Yeah, coach should be kicking himself in the ass otherwise.
