I'm fine with this. Wasn't too good of a HC but he should be fine as an assistant.
Anyone know what his philosophies are? The Jazz were pretty bad on defense and he didn't seem to develop his players too well beside Hayward.

I do not like this one bit. Based off the amount of Jazz games I have seen, he seems to have been a horrible head coach. Hopefully he does not have to big of a roll here.

Horrible head coach but decent assistant coach.
File this in the meh category.

If he is exactly who Malone wanted without any interference from anybody else, then this is a great hire. I also believe that one's record as a head coach has no bearing on how good of an assistant they are. Each requires their own qualities, and having the qualities of one doesn't mean you have the qualities for the other.

From what I heard, Corbin was a great assistant coach under Sloan for many years. He was just bad with player development and managing rotations, which he won't have to do as an assistant.
