Re: POR @ SAC
The good thing about being a fan of a rebuilding team for me personally is not the absolute pressure of having to see a win. Just need to see development and guys doing well and it being entertaining

And this is why you don't go off the deep end after Game 1 of an 82 game season.
at those who spoke with certainty after G.S.

Re: POR @ SAC
It's getting better. DC is doing work out there on both ends. He's going to fit right in moving forward.

That fourth foul by DMC proving costly. Grant's right. Needs to cut those stupid fouls out.

This is about exactly what I was hoping to see tonight. Great win. Let's see if we can keep this up.

Re: POR @ SAC
What were the keys to the game? Didn't watch it bc I'm in Chicago and don't have League Pass.
But looking at the numbers:
-We got to the charity stripe A LOT! (Looking at the Bulls/Cavs game, this line also seemed to be the difference in that one.)
-Took care of the ball - check.
-Dominated the glass - check.
-Kept the opponents below 45% from the floor - check
-Shot better than 45% from the floor ...
I don't see offense as being our week spot going forward. I'm not worried by our ability to score. I just want some consistency in these categories. That's all I really want for Christmas.

Re: POR @ SAC
On a side note how horrible is the replay system. Kills any and all momentum for a team. They need to speed that process UP

Re: POR @ SAC
Oh, also that we competed at the end of the game and finished strong. Very nice to see (sic read). Not used to "seeing" consistent competitive effort from tip off to the final buzzer with this team.

Re: POR @ SAC
Great win and while it was nice to see this teams stars carry it, this was still just a small step in building a style of consistent basketball. 42% and 14 assists to 10 turnovers won't get it done. One major positive so far this season has been the defense. DC and his ball hawking goes a long way. Gay is looking really good on defense so far too. If this team can play this kind of defense but get their offense going too then this will be the shocker team this year.
