But for those of you with little patience, Sports Business Daily is reporting that that the Sacramento-based Golden 1 Credit Union will be the arena naming rights partner.
The official name for the new downtown arena will be ‘Golden 1 Center’.
According to Sports Business Daily, Golden 1 will pay a total of $120 million over 20 years, which breaks down to $6 million annually. SBD also reported that it is one of the most lucrative naming-rights deals for a ‘single-tenant’ NBA arena.

$120 million is a good chunk of what Vivek paid for the team. I'll be watching to see how long it takes Vivek & Co. to break even from the purchase price.
The name isn't bad at all, definitely an improvement from Sleep Train Arena. The Basketball side of the franchise may be dysfunctional but the business side and Granger continue to shine. Keeping the naming rights local is a win for Sactown.

I like it. I still think Arco Arena 3.0 would've been baller.

Arco was the best name so far, but this is a heck of a lot better than Power Balance, Sleep Train was amusing too.

Arco is what we're used to. Golden 1 Center is bomb! We're from the Golden State, too! We can't have the bay area and socal representing the whole shibang! Give Sac it's due!!

Lol, when I first read this name I was like, "Did they just name this arena after Cousins?!" That is awesome. 6 million per year over 20 years is awesome too. Good work, Vivek!
