We gave up a first rounder too though and swap rights in the first in two drafts. Not sure about this now

If we're a playoff team it doesn't matter.... But how do the Kings trade a 2018 1st when we still owe the Bulls?

@ZachLowe_NBA: Sixers will receive a protected 1st-round pick from the Kings, and swap rights w/ Sacto in the 1st round of two other drafts, sources say.

Over on the Mavs board, we're worried that we might once again miss out (for the 4th offseason in a row) on our primary FA "big fish" targets and head for either a rebuild year or, even worse, just missing the playoffs and not even having a first round pick.

...but if this move by Sacramento is to clear cap room for a Rondo + Ellis backcourt, then I could care less about what the Mavs do. The hilarity of that will make our offseason worth it.

Yeah, I know.

The Kings are putting everything into this FA year, they are going all in. They had to do something RIGHT NOW to put a legit team around Cousins & Rudy.

It's risky but I understand it.

The 1st round pick & swap option won't matter that much if the Kings are a playoff-bound team .
