Game thread.

Early on, WCS seems like one of those bigs who has trouble holding onto the ball around the perimeter, but he's made two shots around the rim. Got benched early though (5:30 min in). He looks small compared to Lucas Noguiera. Bruno Caboclo is another player on the Raptors team who will be a good test for Cauley-Stein.

Was WCS signaling to be sub'd out? I couldn't tell due to poor signal.

I didn't see what happened either.

Anyway, Moreland has made at least two nice passes.

Enjoy this summer league, it might be the last time we look forward to seeing our draft pick play in one

I am not enjoying this. This squad reminds me of the Thomas Robinson year. Good news is WCS is back. Bad news is he just bricked 2 free throws . . . and a dunk.

A bit delayed but the Staring lineup

Anderson - Liggins - Stone - Moreland - WCS

Stone handling the ball primarily...

This team misses Ben, Stauskas, and Ray. You go from some shooters to almost none. Shooting ability is kind of important considering they are going down low almost every play.

Maybe, I know when he gets too hyped he has to come out for awhile and get his heart rate down.

Unable to watch but doesn't sound too great early on

The lady who ejected Cousins from the Dallas game is reffing this SL match.

Meanwhile, WCS made a nice move toward the basket. Good first step. Unfortunately, he bricked the layup.

WCS has been subbed out again. So far, he's playing 5 minutes, resting 5, and so on. I think Moreland has been in the game the whole time though.

Sickle-cell trait?

It sure looks like it.

We don't need that to be a continuous thing

Our best PG, Stockton, is sitting out. Having a decent floor general in SL is important. Ray proved that last year.

3-4 guys consistently at the rim, just total FUBAR basketball.

Corey Hawkins, our backup PG, hasn't played either. They're out with sprained ankles according to NBA.com. So... we don't have a point guard.

Ben showed promise in summer league I thought. Maybe that was going into his second year.

Kings playing King's style defense....
...none.

Just like this team before last year, a PG with no shooters and big men with no space isn't a good combo. Right now the only player playing as a shooter is the PG and that player is someone who has career numbers somewhere in the 20's from deep. :banghead:

Plenty of play makers though.

Cauley-Stein with a nice chasedown block lol. Showing his speed. He is fast. Has 0 problems keeping up with a guard.
