Trade Idea Thread 15-16

Figured it's around that time of the season.

I'll start it off...

How would you guys feel about going all in on the suicide squad identity and doing Koufos and Butler for Stevenson and Smith? The defense would almost certainly improve.

Another idea would be Koufos and Collison for Snell and one of Noah/Gibson.

Koufos-Gibson seems fine to me.Dont know if the opposition will accept it thpugh

I had been going through the trade checker looking for something along the lines of Koufos-Mclemore for Reddick-Smith but couldn't make the money work. I think it would be beneficial for both teams as Clips need better depth in the front court which Koufos would provide and they get Mclemore who at least has youth on his side if nothing else and can be a serviceable wing for them. We get a guy that would, hopefully, be able to reliably hit the outside shot for us and space the floor plus Josh Smith who can play that 4 spot and give us an extra playmaker off the bench. Lance and Smith would be fine by me as well but I would agree to have Butler moved instead of Mclemore in that scenario.

If one thing with Karl has been made clear it's that ballhandlers is what is needed for this offense to work and these guys would give us some extra ballhandlers. I really like Koufos on the defensive end but his stone hands kill me. Dude can't catch anything.

Heck no. I think the talk about Stephenson with the ball taken out of his hands is totally true. He's not the same player when he can't be that pseudo point guard he was in Indy. Playing with Rondo wouldn't be nearly as bad as a ball hog like Chris Paul but you'd still get nothing close to the full Stephenson you'd want. Smith wouldn't be too bad but let them just cut him first then convince him to sign here if they want him.

If the Kings want to make a splash the Bulls or the Pelicans might be a good place to start. I still want to see Ryan Anderson on this team.

Finally I want to stand pat. Every piece of importance fits. Ideally we could improve the SG rotation, but we aren't going to get much for Ben so may as well hope it comes to him.

Couple of people I'd like to consider in FA in the off season.

Feels weird not trying to move Jarl Thompandry in bizarre multi team deals, almost bored with tinkering with this roster.

Id look to move Darren collison. Koufos is a good backup center Karl just has crap rotations and plays DMC with koufos far too often.

I think chasing Anderson if its a decent contract is ideal in the off season.

Karl can go with scoring or defense whenever he wishes besides Cousins. Ryno can also produce some points off the bench.

But the only reason I'd be tempted to trade Collison is to put an end of this Rondo & Collison duo garbage.

You know it may be best to hold onto Collison until we know what Rondo does, if we sign him long term, maybe use Collison or some of his salary to improve at SG. He'd be really easy to move.

It's certainly a risk but then again it seems like Rondo and Cousins want to play together. If I could come to some handshake agreement with Rondo regarding his resigning I think I'd have to pull the trigger on the right deal.

Then again that deal doesn't necessarily need to involve Collison. If I'm Vlade I'm looking to package up one of our guards and Koufos to acquire another wing.
