Sixers fan here. i don't us beating you guys twice lol. especially if you lose to Cleveland tonight, they'll probably take out their frustrations on the Sixers and stomp on us

The fact that he hasn't been fired already is kind of depressing. What are they waiting for?

if karl is still the kings coach by then, the players will see that game as a "if this won't get karl fired then its time for me to request a trade" situation..

My guess is Vlade hopes the roster responds in a positive way, or he is watching to see how his roster is responding. Best scenario is Karl finishes out the season....does wonders for Kings PR and avoids the trip down interm coach memory lane.

Eh, a nice upset in Cleveland should be a nice stall job. That or just like the C's game, it just crushes any hopes just a little bit more. :banghead:

If they wait any longer Vlade will have to coach the team himself. He's setting himself up a bit like McHale did in Minnesota.

If the Kings go into the summer with no direction other than to fix it in the summer then good luck packing that new arena! Moves have to be made on all fronts within days of now. Karl isn't going to change and he's already shown that even if he does he's just as apt to reverse course back to this preferred playing style.

I hope not. Want Karl gone, and a loss to you will seal it

How does finishing the season with Big Nasty as interim coach have any positive affect with filling the arena? I am assuming the Kings do not improve their winning percentage with him as coach, so really what was gained here other than you made the move mid season versus the off season?

FYI I'm not running the Karl fan page, dude needs to be fired. But I'm trying to be objective here.

How about a coach who will play to the rosters strengths, who the roster might like better and might like playing for better so we can see what we have?

Why would you keep an old coach who the team isn't playing for if you still have hopes for the season or want to install good habits

You make good points with on court stuff...

You keep Karl till the offseaon to Improve the perception of the job for potential coaching candidates and free agents.

Like everyone knows Karl will not be here next year... Kings FO will score points if the move is made in the offseason. To us, in the moment, that may seem unimportant, but for Vlade looking to improve the team the league opinion has to start changing. It changes with keeping Karl till the offseason IMO....

I think your also assuming Corliss is a dead end

It's actually a chance to try out another coach to see if he'll be good.

Corliss is a fan favorite, and it's who has been personally working out with Cousins. He's intelligent, likeable, and unlike the Corbin situation IMO there isn't the foregone appearance he won't have a shot

I actually have high hopes for Corliss but I'm trying to not get excited about an intern HC with no HC experience.

That depends on whether they view this season as a lost cause. I'm sure they still believe there is a chance at a playoff run.

What he said. Also, change in the face of inevitability is never a bad thing when that inevitability is this.
