Let's see what this renewed defensive rigor looks like.

I think we will see a change... For old Karl to be continued to given the nod I think the pace, systems etc will be a little more tailored to the roster

I've got no idea what to expect on the crazy train.

I will say that we need to take this game, and the next 2 vs Denver to have a shot at the 8th, and probably go like 7-3 roughly in the next 10.

Utah has a brutal schedule themselves.

Other than just telling guys to stop switching I wouldn't expect much of a change. I mean, all they've had is a shoot around this morning, how can we expect to see fundamental scheme changes.

It's just as likely the fellas will be looking forward to the break and just going through the motions too.

Some of the guys probably feel like there is little to play for right now.

So we'll see. Could get ugly tonight.

Philly is the worst offensive team in the league. Bet they still score 110+

I'm going with the under tonight. I have a feeling the players are taking this one personal.

Slow the game? That's not in Karl's vocabulary. He agreed to try something different on D. I bet he doesn't touch offense.

LOL Philly's game thread has us as a "must win".

And you know what, I don't disagree.

He's going to do what's best for the team, and what the organization wants if he wants to remain IMO

That would be refreshing.

This should be interesting. The season might already be over with how far back they've gotten, but if they lose this one, it's over for sure. I expect a win and some pride. But if we don't see ANY fundamental change in regards to strategy it's not going to really matter all that much.

See, here's the problem, if you isolate a defensive possession you'll see that the only chance the Kings have at containing pick and roll is by switching. This is still an issue where Karl runs lineups that can't physically pull it off. He plays small at PG/SG and in their set that's the player who will typically come over to help in the paint. What the heck is 5'10" Collison or Rondo going to do there? :banghead:

Now. of course that's beside the fact that teams are waiting for the over help and just dish it into the corner 3 anyway.

I never thought I'd be so interested in our game at philly. Just before all star break with the chaos surrounding this team, this is critical...I hope to see a driven and inspired team

Sadly, I'm predicting low energy and effort. Glass half empty over here.
