Kings vs. Spurs 2/24

Post#1 » by City of Trees » Wed Feb 24, 2016 8:03 pm

Kings are on a 3 game win streak playing the Spurs on a back to back. According to ESPN Stats and Info, the Spurs have won the last 30 of 33 games against the Kings, including the last 13 of 14.

All year we have been throwing out terms like "must win" and "it's time", well these next 8 games WILL decide whether the Kings fight for a playoff spot or return to the lottery. I have to think tonight is an L even if Leonard doesn't play.

*EDIT

ESPN reporting K. Leonard will play tonight against the Kings after missing the last 3 games.

Bad news for Sac.

I can only hope Pop decides to rest half the team. Hell. Who am I kidding? We'll probably still lose even then.

I'm going to enjoy being in the house for the first time in about a month and a half (was out of the country, then sick for first game it set against nugs). This one will be close, to the wire the way we are playing. We can hope Kawhi doesn't play. A win here could continue to set the tone for a post all star playoff run

Expectations aren't too high with this being a back end of a back to back just hoping we keep the game manageable enough heading into the fourth quarter to give us a chance to win. Kawhi sitting out would be the first step of things we need to go our way.

We can lose 8 straight and still be in the running for the playoffs depending on how Utah and Hou play. Don't get caught up putting too much on it or look too far ahead.

If we lose 8 straight we have no chance. Too late in the season to fall back what would be nearly 7.5-8 games back from the 8 spot. You don't want to be that far behind with only 19 games to play.

Yeah just like I have a chance of winning tonight's Powerball lottery..... You have to account for probability.

The last two games were awesome wins and have somewhat stopped the flood of despair. Now it's time to see what the pick and roll defensive game plan is in this one. This is a different opponent.

Unless Utah and Hou also drop a bunch of games.

I think it's alittle different seeing as the odds at winning the powerball are about 1 in 293 million haha

Right but saying a team that's already down 3.5 games can afford to lose 8 straight and Still be in the race is just as unrealistic. Sure the odds aren't as bad as Powerball, but it still would be a historic run with the odds heavily agaiant you

That's the whole point, it's NOT as unrealistic. But this is a non-sense argument to be having when we aren't discussing all the variables.
